Coming soon to comprehensively evaluate Vietnam's information security market

On December 12, under the auspices of the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Information Security Association - VNISA coordinated with the Department of Information Security to organize the announcement and award ceremony of the 'Golden Key' 2024 title.

VNISA Chairman Nguyen Thanh Hung said that over the past 8 years, the 'Golden Key' voting program has contributed to promoting research, development, improving the quality and applicability of information security products and services of Vietnamese enterprises.

The results of the voting program also help state management agencies more accurately assess the market for information security products and services and develop appropriate policies to encourage and support Vietnamese businesses.

“Made in Vietnam information security products and services are also contributing to ensuring information security for the national digital infrastructure,” commented Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung.

Recognizing VNISA's efforts in developing the Vietnamese network information security product and service ecosystem, Acting Director of the Department of Information Security Tran Quang Hung hopes that the Association will accompany in implementing one of the major orientations in the coming time in the field of network information security.

That is, promoting the development and expansion of the market for information security products and services; and monitoring and orienting to ensure the healthy and sustainable development of the market.

One specific task that the Department of Information Security will implement in early 2025 is to conduct an assessment to see a clearer and more complete overall picture of the market for information security products and services in Vietnam.

Not only is it the basis for the Ministry of Information and Communications to formulate policies to promote better market development, the overall market assessment results also help develop products, solutions, businesses and human resources for information security in Vietnam.

“With the ‘Golden Key’ program, in addition to the assessment of the expert panel, we believe that there needs to be more assessment from units using Vietnamese information security products and services. The market and users are the most accurate measure of the quality and effectiveness of products and solutions,” Mr. Tran Quang Hung added.

Information security solutions need to be associated with the deployment of national digital infrastructure.

According to the assessment of the 2024 'Golden Key' Voting Council, the rate of new products and services introduced for the first time as well as the rate of businesses participating in the vote for the first time are both higher than previous periods, reaching an increase of 85% and 50% respectively.

The range of domestic information security products and services continues to expand in both diversity and technological depth. “In fact, some products and services of Vietnamese enterprises that have achieved the ‘Golden Key’ can completely replace similar foreign products and services, effectively serving the digital transformation cause,” said a representative of the Voting Council.

At the event, 24 "Golden Key" 2024 titles were awarded to 14 enterprises in 7 voting categories. Specifically, 5 enterprises including FPT , Misoft, VNETWORK, HPT and SAVIS were honored in 3 categories for typical information security enterprises, including: Top Vietnamese enterprises in network information security inspection and assessment (FPT and Misoft); Top Vietnamese enterprises in monitoring and responding to network information security incidents (VNETWORK and HPT); Top Vietnamese enterprises in cryptography, authentication and digital signature (FPT and SAVIS).

With 4 categories of 'Outstanding high-quality information security products', 'Outstanding promising information security products', 'Outstanding secure IT solutions for digital transformation' and 'Outstanding information security services', 18 products and services of 14 Vietnamese enterprises were honored.

Making recommendations to businesses based on the results of the 2024 'Golden Key', a representative of VNISA said that Vietnamese information security products and services have affirmed themselves in the market, so they should continue to develop towards international standards to reach the global market.

In addition, information security solutions also need to be linked to the deployment of national digital infrastructure, serving digital transformation. "This poses new problems and new requirements for information security businesses in the current period," VNISA representative emphasized.
