The Western Sea Dike is 108 km long, spanning two districts, Tran Van Thoi and U Minh. Currently, the project has been completed from Song Doc town in Tran Van Thoi district to the Tieu Dua sluice gate in U Minh district. This is a strategically important project for national defense and security, protecting over 90,000 hectares of agricultural land and thousands of households.

The western coastal dike offers many things for tourists to discover this season, due to its two distinct ecosystems: saltwater and freshwater. The saltwater side boasts a vast expanse of sky, forest, and sea stretching as far as the eye can see, vibrant with the fishing industry; the freshwater side features golden rice paddies, lush green reed fields, and abundant fruit orchards… creating a pristine environment in the western coastal region rarely found elsewhere.

The western coast is most bustling at the river and sea estuaries at dusk, with boats and ships constantly coming and going; and the most peaceful spaces are the golden rice paddies with thousands of egrets and herons flying around, hunting for food, and roosting.

The vast fields of sedges on the shrimp ponds along the western sea dike bring us back to a life close to nature.
The most special sight is Silver Rock Island at sunset. Visitors will be surprised to find an island with such peaceful and tranquil scenery in the middle of the vast ocean, transporting them back to a gentle life, close to nature.
