CHOLIMEX FOOD GOLDEN CHEF COMPETITION 2025

Towards the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025) and to welcome the Red Flamboyant Festival 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Hai Phong Tourism Association organized the "Golden Chef" Competition - an event to honor cuisine and promote the city's tourism image.

The competition took place on May 9, 2025 at Diamond Palace - Hai Dang Plaza (No. 19 Tran Khanh Du, Ngo Quyen District, Hai Phong City), the competition gathered 18 teams. chefs from restaurants, hotels, vocational schools and tourism associations across the country. At the competition, teams will present 70 special dishes, symbolizing the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day.

Each team of 3 members prepares a 4-course menu: street snacks, local specialties, creative dishes from local ingredients and desserts – all of which are imbued with regional identity and ensure quality and food hygiene and safety. In addition to the opportunity to compete, the competition is also an opportunity for chefs to exchange, learn and promote the quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine. The judges are prestigious experts in the industry, ensuring fairness and professionalism.

The outstanding teams will receive valuable prizes: 1 Special Prize, 6 First Prizes, 13 Gold Prizes, 5 Consolation Prizes and many other forms of honor. “Golden Chef” is not only a professional playground but also a highlight in Hai Phong’s culinary tourism development strategy, affirming the city’s position on the Vietnam tourism map.
