Nam Da commune leaders informed that from the night of November 20 to 11:00 a.m. on November 21, the water level of Krong No and Krong Ana rivers and the confluence area of the two rivers continued to rise.

Buon Tua Srah Hydropower Plant continues to regulate water, combining a large amount of water from Giang Son (Krong Ana River branch) flowing downstream with a flow rate of 2,258 ^m3 /s.

Heavy rain and rising water levels isolated Binh Giang village, nearly completely flooded Thanh Son, Ninh Giang, and Cao Son villages, and partially flooded Buon Choah village; 73 households were isolated.

More than 200 households whose houses and properties were flooded or at risk of being flooded have been basically relocated to safe locations.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Lam Dong province, Luu Van Trung, requested that by all means, the safety of people's lives in flooded areas must be ensured.

Although there were no human casualties, more than 15km of roads and power lines were completely submerged; more than 700 hectares of rice fields; 5 houses, 1 gas station, 1 hectare of coffee, 3 hectares of perennial trees, 0.5 hectares of crops; 4 tons of harvested fish and many livestock, poultry and other properties.

Faced with the erratic rain and flood situation, the Commune People's Committee regularly broadcasts information and warnings on the loudspeaker system and social networks, informing households along the Krong No and Krong Ana rivers about the risk of major floods.

At the same time, mobilize and evacuate more than 200 households whose houses were flooded and households at risk of being flooded to flood shelter areas in Cao Son village.

Currently, Nam Da Commune People's Committee has arranged temporary shelters for people to avoid floods at the headquarters of Buon Choah Commune People's Committee (old), Buon Choah Commune Cultural House (old) and Buon Choah Commune Flood Shelter (old).

Daily needs such as food, electricity, water, sanitation... are basically guaranteed. The locality has also relocated vulnerable groups: the elderly, the lonely, the disabled... to the commune health station for emergency assistance according to regulations.

Nam Da commune also established 3 working groups for natural disaster prevention, control and support for people, with more than 100 people including commune officials, civil servants, commune police, militia, front, departments, branches and mass organizations.

The Commune Military Command, Commune Police, and militia forces are on duty 24/7; preparing and mobilizing rescue vehicles including 2 canoes, 10 motorboats, buoys, life-saving equipment, and more than 100 tractors to transport and relocate assets for the people.

The locality proposed the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Police to support 1 canoe from the Traffic Police Department; the Civil Defense Command of Region 2 - Dong Gia Nghia, the Provincial Military Command to support 2 canoes and prepare forces to increase support for the commune when a bad situation occurs.

At the inspection session, comrade Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Lam Dong province, highly appreciated the proactive and urgent spirit of the Party Committee and authorities of Nam Da commune, who promptly supported people to safety, without causing any human casualties.

Along with that, the commune needs to agree on the time to notify the spillway with Buon Tua Srah Hydropower Plant to promptly inform the people, ensuring enough time to evacuate people and property.
