On November 18, President Luong Cuong attended the National Great Unity Day in Bao An village (Go Noi commune, Da Nang city).

People-centered development policies and plans

The festival took place in an exciting atmosphere on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025), an important milestone of the great national unity bloc.

Bao An village is one of 17 villages of Go Noi commune, with 625 households and 2,600 people, 14 solidarity groups. Although it is a purely agricultural area, with consensus and efforts, the people have contributed to changing the face of their homeland.

In recent years, rural infrastructure has improved; hundreds of meters of fences have been dismantled, more than 1,050 square meters of land have been donated to open roads; more than 5,000 new flowers and trees have been planted; 100% of roads have lighting. The title of cultural village has been maintained for 11 consecutive years; by 2025, 595/625 households will be cultural families; average income per capita is estimated at 72 million VND/year; security and order are ensured, and people's legal awareness is increasingly enhanced.

Speaking at the festival, President Luong Cuong sent his congratulations and highly appreciated the efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of Bao An in implementing the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".

The President expressed his joy when returning to this land of affection, which was once known as the typical village of scholars in the South Central region, the homeland of many famous people and veteran revolutionary cadres such as Hoang Dieu, Pham Phu Tu, Phan Thanh, Nguyen Thi Binh, Tran Thi Ly... This is also a heroic land, a staunch revolutionary base, where the spirit of solidarity has always shone through in all periods.

Recalling the severe impacts of natural disasters in recent times, President Luong Cuong deeply sympathized with the losses and damages that the people of Da Nang and many localities across the country had suffered. At the same time, he expressed gratitude to the frontline forces such as the army, police, village and commune officials and people across the country who shared their food and clothes, regardless of danger, and promptly helped people protect their lives and property in times of trouble.

During the resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, Go Noi and Da Nang city were always strategic locations, contributing many great sacrifices to the revolutionary cause.

Based on that proud tradition, President Luong Cuong requested local Party committees, authorities and people to continue promoting the achieved results, innovate the content and methods of operation, promote democracy at the grassroots level, strengthen dialogue, listen and respond to people's thoughts. All policies and development plans must take people as the center, the subject, the goal and the driving force.

In addition, build a streamlined, effective, efficient, and people-friendly government apparatus; constantly improve people's material and spiritual lives; take good care of social security policies, especially for those with meritorious services and the disadvantaged, so that no one is left behind.

Do everything to help people in flooded areas stabilize

Faced with complex and unpredictable climate change and natural disasters, the President requested localities to proactively respond. Building safe communities, upgrading dykes, preventing urban flooding, preventing landslides in mountainous areas and encouraging housing suitable for flood conditions are urgent requirements.

President Luong Cuong said that during the recent storms No. 10, 11, 12, and 13, dozens of people died, hundreds were injured, and tens of thousands of houses were damaged; the damage was estimated at about 40,000 billion VND. The Party and the State have been directing strongly to support people in disaster-hit areas to stabilize their lives and prepare more effective response plans in the coming time.
