During the recent rains, Lam Dong province has faced a series of serious consequences: landslides, subsidence of inter-commune roads and great damage to agriculture . Provincial authorities have determined that at Mimosa Pass (National Highway 20), the area from Km 226+500 - Km 226+800 has suffered serious subsidence of the negative slope, with the potential risk of further slides. To ensure safety, Lam Dong Department of Construction has decided to ban vehicles with a load capacity of 15 tons or more from passing through this pass until the current situation is resolved.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tai Phuong, Chairman of Tan Ha Lam Ha Commune, the inter-commune road passing through Phuc Tan village, km7+300, has a crack about 130m long, sinking to a depth of 1.5m; another 40m long point is also damaged. According to the assessment of the authorities, the above crack is at risk of spreading and is very dangerous. Currently, the local authorities have set up checkpoints, stretched warning ropes, blocked off and regulated traffic 24/7.
In addition, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rains, water from upstream continuously poured into many large vegetable growing areas of Lam Dong such as Don Duong and Ta Nang communes, dozens of hectares of vegetables were completely flooded, causing billions of dong in damage. In addition, many localities in the former Binh Thuan province were also deeply flooded, greatly affecting the travel and daily life of hundreds of households.
