Sharing about the UpRace 2025 race on the morning of November 21, Mr. Kelly Wong, General Director of VNG (the project initiator) said that this year many people are facing difficulties, but the people that UpRace is targeting are having a harder time. Therefore, the project hopes that each step can bring hope to many people.

Like previous seasons, UpRace 2025 does not set a target for total running distance but focuses on expanding the number of participants. During the 24 days of the event, each km of the user is converted into 1,000 VND sponsored by the business, supporting the project's partner social organizations.

This year, the Dream Creation Fund (DMF), VNG and CP Paper are the three strategic sponsors. The funds raised will go to three long-standing social organizations of UpRace: Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, Association for the Support of Vietnamese Disabled and Orphans (ASVDO), and the Center for Supporting the Development of Mother and Newborn Care in Vietnam (So Sinh Viet Nam).

In particular, 2025 is the second year that Vietnam Neonatal participates in the project. In this season, UpRace expects to support 388 Postnatal Resuscitation (NLS) scholarships for medical staff. Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund is expected to support about 8,000 students in ethnic minority and island areas. ASVDO expects to use the fund to provide wheelchairs, capital and livelihood support for people with disabilities at a rate of 15 million VND/month, with special priority given to areas affected by storms and floods.

In addition to online activities, the “UpRace Day 2025” event will take place in Ho Chi Minh City on December 14, expected to attract about 2,000 participants in the 5km, 10km and 21km distances.

Since 2018, UpRace has attracted more than 632,000 participants, contributing more than 31.8 billion VND to social organizations. In 2023 alone, nearly 7 million km of running were converted into 7 billion VND to support scholarships, livelihoods and newborn care.
