These days, the bustling coffee harvest atmosphere in Lam Dong has become unusually quiet as the rain continues from morning to afternoon. When people should be busy collecting ripe fruit, the continuous downpours have almost brought the harvesting to a standstill. Coffee has entered the ripening stage, the fruit is full of water, easily cracked and falls in large numbers. According to local farmers, each tree can lose up to 300g of fruit after each heavy rain, or even more, causing significant damage in the context of high fresh coffee prices.

This situation is not only happening in Lam Dong but is also common in many provinces of the Central Highlands - the region entering the peak harvest season of the 2025 crop. With a total coffee growing area of 639-660 thousand hectares, accounting for 92% of the country, the Central Highlands is considered the "coffee capital" of Vietnam, contributing more than 1.7 million tons per year. Therefore, prolonged rain during the harvest season makes the risk of reduced output very clear.

Not only causing losses in the garden, the storm also disrupted transportation activities. Many shipments from raw material areas to ports were delayed or delayed, affecting delivery schedules and export supplies. Businesses are concerned that prolonged adverse weather conditions will affect the entire value chain, from purchasing, processing to exporting.

While farmers try to take advantage of the dry weather to collect fruit that still retains its quality, authorities recommend closely monitoring the weather and proactively taking response measures to minimize damage in this important crop season.

Thus, today's coffee price on November 19, 2025 in the country is trading around 113,600 - 114,700 VND/kg.
