The President wrote: “Exactly 80 years ago, in the historic autumn, in a letter to students on the first day of school when our country had just gained independence, Uncle Ho conveyed his immense love and strong belief - the young generation of Vietnam will lead the country to glory, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers.

His sacred wish still resonates, reminding you to constantly study and practice to be worthy of the sacrifices and contributions of previous generations, contributing to the cause of protecting, building and developing the country.

According to the President, in the past school year, the education sector has proactively and actively advised, proposed, and perfected many important mechanisms, policies, and legal documents to innovate and develop education and training in the new period.

The entire sector has completed the implementation of the new general education program from grades 1 to 12, affirming the initial success of the general education innovation process.

The quality of education at all levels has been improved; Vietnamese students continue to achieve high results in international and regional Olympic competitions, contributing to raising the position of our country's education in the international arena.

These are the admirable efforts of the education sector, teachers and students nationwide, and at the same time continue to spread the trust and support of society for the cause of innovation and development of education and training in our country.

"The 2025-2026 school year is the first school year taking place in a new context when the whole country completes the arrangement of administrative units, implements the two-level local government model, and is also the first school year implementing Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development.

I hope the education sector will focus on implementing the theme of the school year: "Discipline, Creativity - Breakthrough - Development; continue to aim for the goal of forming and comprehensively developing people in terms of knowledge, ethics, skills, courage and aspirations, meeting the requirements of rapid and sustainable development of the country in the new era of development - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise", the President emphasized.

With warm, friendly feelings and best wishes to teachers, students and parents on the eve of the new school year, the President believes that generations of students will continue to nurture their dreams and constantly study and practice.

He hopes that teachers, administrators, and workers in the education sector will always maintain the flame of passion and love for the profession, constantly innovate, create, and build a happy learning environment for students.

In particular, the President hopes that parents will continue to accompany the school and society to take care of future generations.

He suggested that central ministries, branches, Party committees and authorities pay more attention to the education cause with practical policies so that teachers and students can be taught, studied and trained in the best environment.

“I wish all teachers, administrators, employees of the education sector, and students good health, happiness, and many achievements in the new school year, so that the Vietnamese education sector will make an important contribution to bringing the country “on par with the world powers” as beloved Uncle Ho wished,” the President wrote!
