According to VNA, this afternoon (July 18), the Party and State solemnly held a ceremony to award the Gold Star Order to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the 108 Central Military Hospital.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Politburo member and President To Lam announced the decision and awarded the Gold Star Order to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The Medal Awarding Ceremony was attended by all Politburo members, Secretariat members, a number of staff assisting the General Secretary, and representatives of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's family.
The decision to award the Gold Star Order, the noble reward of the Party and State to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, is the recognition of the Party, State and People for the great and especially outstanding contributions of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the revolutionary cause of the Party and our nation.
