In the 2022-2023 school year, the units have implemented educational programs and plans under the direction and guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Department of Education and Training in accordance with the conditions of the school. Directing to continue to innovate teaching methods towards developing students' qualities and abilities, suitable for ethnic minority students. Integrating, integrating, and streamlining teaching content in the current general education program, innovating testing and evaluation associated with the roadmap for implementing the 2018 General Education Program, suitable for ethnic minority students.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said that in the 2023-2024 school year, the province has about 759 kindergartens and primary schools with 12,045 classes and 407,921 students. The total number of employees is 20,255, including 1,766 managers, 17,368 teachers and 1,453 staff.

There are approximately 410,300 students from kindergarten to high school in the province. Of these, 81,100 are kindergarten students, 172,000 are primary school students, 108,200 are junior high school students, and 49,000 are high school students.

The rate of mobilizing school-age children to attend kindergarten reached 93.0%, primary school reached 99.9%, middle school reached 94.7% and high school reached 58.1%. The number of schools meeting national standards in the whole province was 63.4% (The number of schools meeting national standards in the whole province was 449/761 schools, reaching 59.0%).

In the 2023-2024 school year, the entire sector lacks 7,540 targets according to the norm, of which there is a shortage of 6,048 teachers (Preschool level: 1,695 teachers, Primary level: 2,233 teachers, Secondary level: 1,275 teachers, High school level: 844 teachers) and 1,492 staff. The above number of missing teachers does not include the 1,244 targets added by the Politburo in Decision 72-QD/TW.

Mr. Vo Thanh Nguyen - Principal of Gia Lai Province Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, said that in the 2023-2024 school year, the whole school has 400 students, most of whom are Jrai and Bana. Over the past 12 consecutive years, the school has maintained its achievements with 100% of students passing the high school graduation exam. Every year, the school always has a team participating in the Provincial 12th Grade Excellent Student Competition.
