Quang Ngai Chairman refuses to receive citizens as deputy director of department

The Office of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province has just notified Mr. Phan Van Hieu, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Ngai, that his application to meet Chairman of the People's Committee of the province Dang Van Minh at a regular citizen reception has been rejected.

According to the Office of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, on November 6, Mr. Hieu submitted an application to meet with the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province, Dang Van Minh. In his application, Mr. Hieu stated 4 contents related to state management of science and technology from 2017 to 2023.

However, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province said that the content mentioned in the petition is the responsibility of the leadership of the Department of Science and Technology. The leadership of the department must report and explain to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in performing the task of state management of science and technology in the province. This includes the responsibility of Mr. Phan Van Hieu as a civil servant and Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology.

"Therefore, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province Dang Van Minh refused to receive Mr. Phan Van Hieu at the regular citizen reception day on November 15 to consider and resolve according to the provisions of the law on cadres and civil servants related to the performance of public duties and obligations of cadres and civil servants, especially the responsibilities of the head" , the announcement of the Provincial People's Committee Office clearly stated.

Mr. Phan Van Hieu (born in 1973) has a PhD in Economics and was the Head of the Department of Marxism-Leninism Theory - Ho Chi Minh Thought, Quang Ngai Provincial Political School.

Mr. Phan Van Hieu used to hold leadership positions at the Quang Ngai Province Cooperative Union, Deputy Secretary of Nghia Hanh District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Quang Ngai Province.

In January 2021, Mr. Hieu held the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology.
