National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man: General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong - a shrewd politician, devoted his whole life to the happiness of the people

Upon hearing the news of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's passing, Comrade Tran Thanh Man, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman, expressed his deepest condolences and shared his feelings and thoughts about the outstanding leader of our Party, State and people.

According to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a great personality, intelligent, talented, full of courage, with dialectical scientific thinking, rich practice, and erudite theory.

With 80 years of age and 57 years of Party membership, the General Secretary has devoted his entire life to the noble ideals of the Party, is a shining example of revolutionary morality of a communist soldier, is a sharp, intelligent politician, an excellent theorist of the Party, and has devoted his entire life to the ideals of national independence and socialism, for the happiness of the people.

With the responsibility of being the highest leader of the Party, holding many important positions assigned by the Party and the State, including the position of Chairman of the 11th and 12th National Assembly, the General Secretary is always very close to the National Assembly, clearly understanding the organization and methods of operation of the National Assembly.

The General Secretary always reminds us to spend adequate time on the activities of the National Assembly, to have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the National Assembly in order to have sharp comments and criticisms.

The General Secretary advised: learn from the people, learn from practice, policies and laws issued must not be far from life. "If we beat the beat of life, of the people's hearts, then the activities of the National Assembly will certainly be lively and effective."
