Cambodian Senate President prepares to visit Laos

President of the Cambodian Senate and President of the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP) Samdech Techo Hun Sen will lead a high-level delegation on an official visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic from February 6-7.

On February 3, the Cambodia News Agency (AKP) reported that the visit took place at the invitation of Lao National Assembly Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane.

The high-level delegation accompanying CPP President and President of the Cambodian Senate Hun Sen on his visit to Laos includes direct supreme advisors to the Cambodian King, senior leaders of the CPP and the government, as well as members of the Senate and National Assembly.

During this official visit to Laos, President of the Cambodian Senate and President of the CPP Hun Sen, together with General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, will co-chair the 15th Summit between the CPP and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP).

In addition, Mr. Hun Sen is expected to have a bilateral meeting with Lao National Assembly Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane and meet and work with Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone.

According to AKP, the official visit to Laos by President of the Cambodian Senate Hun Sen will create new momentum in consolidating and promoting the comprehensive and long-term sustainable strategic partnership between the two countries.
