Gia Lai Province Chairman Truong Hai Long returns to work as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs

On May 30, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision 467 on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Truong Hai Long - Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee - to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Home Affairs.

The above decision is based on the Law on Government Organization, the opinion of the Secretariat and the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs.

Mr. Truong Hai Long (born in 1976, hometown Yen Trung commune, Yen Phong district, Bac Ninh) has a master's degree in law, senior political theory; has held the positions of Head of the Department of Civil Servants and Public Employees (since October 2017), Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (since June 2021).

In September 2022, Mr. Truong Hai Long was decided by the Secretariat to mobilize and appoint him to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and to be introduced by the Provincial People's Council to elect him as Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

On the afternoon of September 19, 2022, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council held a meeting to elect the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, 68/71 delegates of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council approved the proposal on introducing personnel to elect the Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, term XII, 2021-2026, with 94.36% of votes.
