The National Assembly reviews organizational and personnel work in the final working week of the 9th Session.

In the final working week of the 9th Session, along with reviewing and voting to pass many important laws and resolutions, the 15th National Assembly will discuss and decide on organizational and personnel work under its authority.

According to the program, today (June 23), the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly enters its final working week.

In the morning, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on the mechanism for handling difficulties and obstacles caused by legal regulations. After that, the National Assembly discussed in groups the draft Law on Judicial Assistance in Civil Matters and the draft Law on Judicial Assistance in Criminal Matters.

In the afternoon, the National Assembly discussed in groups the following projects: Law on State of Emergency; Law on Transfer of Persons Serving Prison Sentences; and Law on Extradition.

Also during this working week, the National Assembly will vote to pass a number of laws and resolutions.

The laws passed by the National Assembly include:

Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Vietnamese Nationality; Law on Cadres and Civil Servants (amended); Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organization of People's Courts; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organization of People's Procuracies; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies; Law on Inspection (amended); Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Civil Procedure Code, the Administrative Procedure Law, the Juvenile Justice Law, the Bankruptcy Law and the Law on Mediation and Dialogue at Court.

Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Penal Code; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations; Law on State Budget (amended); Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Bidding, Law on Investment under the Public-Private Partnership model, Law on Customs, Law on Export Tax and Import Tax, Law on Investment, Law on Public Investment, Law on Management and Use of Public Assets; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Credit Institutions; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Planning; Law on Protection of Personal Data.

Law on Participation in United Nations Peacekeeping Forces; Law on Science, Technology and Innovation; Law on Atomic Energy (amended); Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Criminal Procedure Code; Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Law on Trade Unions, the Law on Youth and the Law on Implementing Democracy at Grassroots Level; Law on Railways (amended); Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on National Defense, the Law on People's Army Officers, the Law on Professional Soldiers, Workers and Defense Officials, the Law on Military Service, the Law on Vietnam Border Guard, the Law on People's Air Defense, the Law on Reserve Forces, the Law on Civil Defense, the Law on Management and Protection of National Defense Works and Military Zones, the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces, the Law on National Defense and Security Education.

Resolutions passed by the National Assembly include:

Resolution of the National Assembly on the establishment of the National Election Council; Resolution of the National Assembly to elect the Chairman of the National Election Council; Resolution of the National Assembly approving the list of Vice Chairmen and members of the National Election Council; Resolutions of the National Assembly on other personnel work under its authority.

Resolution of the National Assembly on the pilot of the People's Procuracy initiating civil lawsuits to protect the civil rights of vulnerable groups or to protect public interests; Resolution of the National Assembly on the mechanism for handling difficulties and obstacles due to legal provisions; Resolution of the National Assembly on the National Assembly's Supervision Program in 2026; Resolution of the National Assembly amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Internal Regulations of the National Assembly session issued together with Resolution No. 71/2022/QH15 of the National Assembly; Resolution of the National Assembly on exemption from agricultural land use tax.

Resolution of the National Assembly on exemption and support of tuition fees for preschool children, general education students, and students of general education programs at educational institutions in the national education system; Resolution of the National Assembly on universalizing preschool education for preschool children from 3 to 5 years old; Resolution of the National Assembly on the implementation of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organization of People's Courts, the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organization of People's Procuracies, procedural laws and other relevant laws.

Resolution of the National Assembly on investment policy for the Quy Nhon-Pleiku Expressway Construction Investment Project; Resolution of the National Assembly on investment policy for the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 Construction Investment Project; Resolution of the National Assembly on adjusting investment policy for the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway Construction Investment Project, Phase 1; Resolution of the National Assembly on the International Financial Center in Vietnam; Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Hai Phong city; Resolution of the National Assembly on approving the 2023 state budget settlement.

During the working week, the National Assembly discussed the following projects: Law on Judicial Assistance in Civil Matters; Law on Judicial Assistance in Criminal Matters; Law on State of Emergency; Law on Transfer of Persons Serving Prison Sentences; Law on Extradition; and the results of monitoring the settlement of voters' petitions sent to the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

It is expected that from 4:00 p.m. on June 27, the National Assembly will hold its closing session to vote on the Resolution of the National Assembly on questioning activities at the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly and the Resolution of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
