Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son received and worked with leaders of Goertek Group

BAC NINH - On the afternoon of November 20, Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, had a meeting and worked with the delegation of Goertek Group led by Mr. Tuong Hong Trai, Vice Chairman of the Group, General Director of Goertek Vina Company. Also attending were representatives of leaders of a number of departments and branches of the province.

At the meeting, Mr. Tuong Hong Trai gave an overview of Goertek Group, a high-tech enterprise established in 2001 in Weifang City, Shandong Province (China). The Group operates globally in the field of research, development and production of electronic components and precision structures with a team of about 100,000 employees, including more than 20,000 engineers and technical experts.

Goertek currently owns 7 R&D centers in major domestic and international cities such as the US, Denmark, Japan, and Korea. In Vietnam, the Group began investing in 2013, focusing on manufacturing products such as speakers, headphones, wearables, and other electronic devices. After more than 12 years of development, Goertek has become one of the largest investment enterprises in Bac Ninh , with a total investment of more than 1.675 billion USD and a workforce of more than 65,000 people.

Speaking at the reception, Comrade Pham Hoang Son expressed his pleasure to welcome Mr. Tuong Hong Trai and the delegation. He emphasized that Vietnam and China are two neighboring countries with a long-standing traditional friendship, which has been increasingly consolidated and developed in the spirit of "four goods" cultivated by the two countries' senior leaders.

Bac Ninh holds a strategic position in the Capital region, located on two key economic corridors in the North: Kunming - Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh and Nanning - Lang Son - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh, and is also one of the growth poles of the North - South economic axis.

Currently, China is the third country in terms of total FDI capital in Bac Ninh, with the largest number of enterprises. Among them, Goertek is one of the typical enterprises, making important contributions to the socio-economic development of the province, creating jobs for tens of thousands of workers. In particular, the enterprise always accompanies the locality in social security work, scholarship support, disaster relief, demonstrating high community responsibility.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that, with its prestige and position, Goertek will continue to expand its investment, production and business in Bac Ninh; at the same time, act as a bridge to introduce more foreign enterprises, especially from China, to learn about and invest in the province. He affirmed that Bac Ninh always values ​​the role of enterprises, commits to accompany, provide maximum support, and promptly resolve recommendations, difficulties and problems. The province also encourages Goertek to strengthen cooperation with local enterprises, develop supporting enterprises, train and use Vietnamese human resources in factory management and operation.

Comrade Pham Hoang Son believes that Goertek will continue to accompany Bac Ninh on the journey of sustainable development, innovation and international integration as well as local social security activities.

On this occasion, the delegates took souvenir photos. Mr. Tuong Hong Trai gave the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee a bouquet of flowers on the first day they met when he returned to work in the locality.
