The delegation included Vice Chairman Tran Nam Hung, representatives of the Department of Finance, Department of Construction, Provincial People's Committee Office, Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, and leaders of Tam Ky, Phu Ninh, and Duy Xuyen localities.

The delegation inspected the Vo Chi Cong route connecting to the expressway starting from the intersection of Nguyen Tat Thanh and National Highway 40B (Tam Ky City). This is a key route to meet the expected increase in traffic demand after the completion of the Vo Chi Cong route and the high-speed railway project is expected to be implemented with a station located near the intersection area.

Also on the afternoon of May 12, the delegation surveyed Ba Ngan Bridge, a traffic bottleneck on the route connecting to National Highway 14H. The current bridge is only 3m wide, causing difficulties for travel, when the traffic volume through the bridge is large due to the convenient connection to Hoi An and Da Nang.

The project report proposed using about 200 billion VND of surplus capital to build a new Ba Ngan bridge with a width of 12m, equivalent to Cam Kim bridge. This project was assessed by voters as urgent, promising to improve the efficiency of the Vo Chi Cong - National Highway 14H - Hoi An - Da Nang traffic axis.

The results of the inspection will be the basis for the province to consider adjusting the investment policy, prioritizing the construction of Ba Ngan bridge and the route connecting Vo Chi Cong street to the current Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway.

During the inspection trip, Chairman Le Van Dung emphasized that the Vo Chi Cong project and Ba Ngan bridge are important driving forces for socio-economic development in the coastal area of ​​Quang Nam.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung requested departments, branches and localities to closely coordinate, urgently complete documents and procedures, and soon promote the progress of the above strategic projects. In particular, Ba Ngan Bridge must be prioritized for early construction to remove traffic bottlenecks, meet people's expectations and maximize the efficiency of the inter-regional traffic axis.

According to the representative of the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, two locations in the survey were proposed for additional investment in urgent projects using surplus capital from the project to complete coastal road 129 (Vo Chi Cong).

The investment objective is to complete and upgrade the inter-regional traffic system connecting Cua Dai Bridge to Chu Lai Airport; forming a key coastal traffic route, connecting the regions of Da Nang, Quang Nam and Dung Quat Industrial Park, Quang Ngai province.

At the same time, it connects the coastal road to Dong Que Son Industrial Park and National Highway 14H, serving the development of industry, tourism, and services, creating conditions to promote socio-economic development in the province, ensuring national security and defense. The total investment of the project is more than 2,000 billion VND.
