Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan dialogues with farmers

On the afternoon of January 12, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee had a dialogue with farmers on issues related to agricultural production, farmers and rural life. Hundreds of officials and farmers representing over 133,000 members and farmers in the province and leaders of departments, branches and localities attended.

At the conference, farmers were delighted with the achievements in socio -economic development of the province in 2023, including important contributions from farmers across the province. Farmers believe that with the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the direction of the Provincial People's Committee and the efforts of the entire people, the province's socio-economic development will continue to achieve more success in 2024.

At the dialogue, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan and leaders of departments, branches and sectors listened to, discussed and answered recommendations and proposals of farmers related to the following issues: Support policies for farmers to change the structure of crops, livestock and smart agriculture, high-tech agriculture, organic agriculture; create more favorable conditions for farmers and cooperatives to access credit packages; policies to attract young workers to work in agriculture; policies to attract businesses to invest in agriculture and rural areas.

In particular, provincial leaders, departments and farmers have spent a lot of time discussing and agreeing on issues related to increasing the value of agricultural products, agriculture associated with services, and tourism that need to be encouraged and promoted, and have specific, practical and effective policies for these issues.

In addition to the issues that have been explained, at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan requested leaders of departments, branches and localities to take note of and advise the province to resolve the recommendations and proposals of farmers at the dialogue; at the same time, he hoped that farmers would continue to make efforts, produce and do business well, contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo. Farmers' Associations at all levels should study the orientation of agricultural development and farmers in a modern, advanced and environmentally friendly direction, especially building and replicating ecological agricultural models and agricultural tourism; regularly propagating and orienting the building of the peasant class in accordance with advanced and modern production methods...
