VCCI Chairman reveals 'very special gift' from Vietnamese businessman

Informing delegates before the opening speech, VCCI Chairman Pham Tan Cong said: "Not only sending a flower basket to congratulate our conference, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong this morning signed and issued a new resolution of the Politburo on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new era. This is a very special gift from the Party and State on the occasion of this year's Entrepreneurs' Day."

According to Mr. Pham Tan Cong, the new resolution issued by the Politburo this time replaces Resolution 09 issued 12 years ago. The resolution has very new contents on viewpoints, orientations and solutions for developing the Vietnamese business community in the coming period. These are not only new contents but also very drastic solutions, meeting the expectations of the business community and society.

"The new resolution will add strength and wings to the development of Vietnamese businessmen in the coming time," said Mr. Cong.

Mr. Pham Tan Cong also shared that for the first time on the occasion of the anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day, VCCI organized a national conference to meet with business associations and Vietnamese entrepreneurs across the country to discuss business development, industry development, and building a business culture...

VCCI plans to start from this conference, annually organize meetings with leaders of business associations nationwide to exchange and discuss promoting cooperation and linkages between associations and businesses; improve the quality of support for members and promote the development of a team of entrepreneurs and businesses to meet the requirements of integration and national development.

"In the process of preparing for this conference, VCCI has received many reports and recommendations from businessmen, enterprises and business associations. Recommendations related to VCCI will be considered and resolved immediately. VCCI has compiled them, combined with recommendations at today's conference to report to the Government, the Secretariat and relevant agencies," said Mr. Cong.

According to information from VCCI, this afternoon, October 11, the Prime Minister and the Government Standing Committee will meet with Vietnamese businessmen at the Government Office to listen to opinions and recommendations from the Vietnamese business community.
