Hanoi FC's new foreign player banned from playing without playing a single match

Denilson Junior received a booking while playing for his former club Avai. He was sent off in the last match against Atletico Goianiense and was "suspended".

Denilson's suspension does not only apply to Brazil. The striker will not be able to play in the make-up match between Hanoi FC and Binh Duong Club. Next, Denilson will be absent from the match against Quy Nhon Binh Dinh Club in round 5.

Denilson grew up from the Fluminense youth academy and was promoted to the first team to play in the Brazilian National Championship (Serie A) in 2013. After that, this player moved to Granada in Spain but only played in the B team. In the next stage, he played in Serie A for many teams such as Sao Paulo, Avai or Atletico Mineiro.

Denilson played in the Portuguese league for 3 seasons for Pacos Ferreira, Familicao or Tondela, scoring 12 goals in 3 years. In total, Denilson scored 61 goals in 227 matches. In the 2021/2022 season, Denilson scored 2 goals for Pacos Ferreira in the European Cup C3.

Thus, the last 4 foreign players registered by Hanoi FC in V-League 2023/2024 are Denilson, Joel Tagueu, Marcao and Brandon Wilson. The eliminated players are Herlison Caion, Jevtovic and Damien Le Tallec. The contracts of this group of players all expire in December 2023. Hanoi FC has confirmed that they will part ways with striker Caion.
