Preparations are underway for a series of activities commemorating and burying the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts.

On the morning of December 16th, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province held a meeting to hear reports on the preparations for the Commemoration Ceremony, the Funeral Service, and the burial of the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Cambodia and were repatriated in the first phase, 25th stage (dry season 2025-2026). The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Tan Hoa, with the participation of leaders from relevant departments, agencies, and units, as well as members of the Provincial Steering Committee 515.

According to a report from the Provincial Military Command, preparations for the series of ceremonial activities are progressing on schedule. It is expected that the Commemoration Ceremony for the Heroes and Martyrs will be held simultaneously at 5 PM on December 21, 2025, at the Hill 82 Martyrs' Cemetery (Tay Ninh) and the Vinh Hung - Tan Hung Martyrs' Cemetery. Specifically, the Hill 82 Martyrs' Cemetery will commemorate 159 remains of martyrs, while the Vinh Hung - Tan Hung Martyrs' Cemetery will commemorate 24 remains of martyrs.

Continuing the program, the memorial service and burial of the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Cambodia and were repatriated in the first phase of the 25th repatriation will be held simultaneously at two cemeteries at 6:30 AM on December 22, 2025.

Representatives from the Provincial Military Command reported on the preparations for organizing the ceremony.

At the meeting, representatives from various departments and agencies exchanged ideas and contributed opinions regarding the coordination of organization, arrangement of ceremonial arrangements, composition of delegates, program script, and rehearsal plan at each location, aiming to ensure that the ceremonies are conducted solemnly, meticulously, and in accordance with regulations.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Tan Hoa requested that agencies, units, and localities continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, proactively coordinate, and carefully review each task to ensure that the ceremonies are organized safely, solemnly, and in accordance with proper rituals. This demonstrates the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source," and the profound gratitude of the Party Committee, government, and people of the province towards the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation and fulfilling noble international duties.
