Carefully prepare the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies of projects to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at 3 locations in the city.

On the morning of August 11, at the meeting of the city's leaders with departments and branches to evaluate the results of the implementation of tasks in week 32 and deploy tasks in week 33, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau emphasized the need to carefully prepare the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies of large-scale projects and works of great significance to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) under the direction of the Prime Minister. This is an outstanding political and social event of profound significance, contributing to spreading pride, arousing the spirit of solidarity and determination for development of the city.

The online groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony of projects and works nationwide will take place on August 19, 2025. According to the report of the Ministry of Construction , up to now, ministries, branches, localities and related units are actively implementing, with about 230 projects and works being appraised to be eligible for groundbreaking and inauguration.

This important political event is a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, clearly demonstrating the maturity, growth, and spirit of self-reliance of the country; at the same time, affirming the determination to proactively develop economic and social infrastructure in many fields such as transportation, urban areas, industrial parks, services, education and training, healthcare, science and technology, innovation, etc. This is also a vivid demonstration of the efforts of the entire political system, the consensus of the people and participating entities, bringing joy and happiness to the people - those who directly benefit from the results.

Thereby, the event contributes to fostering national pride, arousing love for the homeland and country, adding will and determination in the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland; creating momentum and strength to enter the "era of rising up of a rich, civilized, prosperous and prosperous country" as General Secretary To Lam affirmed.

According to the report of the Department of Construction, out of a total of 80 key projects and works that were started and inaugurated at 80 online bridges nationwide, Hai Phong has 3 projects at 3 bridges. It is expected that the main bridge of the city will connect with the Central Government at the inauguration ceremony of the May Chai bridge and the access roads on both sides of the bridge belonging to the Vu Yen Island Amusement, Recreation, Housing and Ecological Park Project. The remaining 2 bridges will connect at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Resettlement Area Construction Project serving the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong Railway Project (in Duong Kinh Ward) and the T2 Passenger Terminal Construction Project - Cat Bi International Airport.

In addition, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the city plans to start and inaugurate many other key works and projects such as: Investing in the construction of a bridge over the Thai Binh River and the access road of the former Hai Duong City Ring Road I (from Provincial Road 391 to Provincial Road 390C); building a Martyrs' Temple and a Cultural Park in the western part of the city; the National Highway 37 bypass through the old Gia Loc town; the road connecting National Highway 17B with Dinh Bridge (Kinh Mon town); inaugurating Hai Duong Obstetrics Hospital Phase II (inpatient treatment and general services); inaugurating the Dong Viet Bridge access road connecting National Highway 37, Hai Phong City, invested by the West Hai Phong Construction Investment Project Management Board.

Speaking at the direction, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau assigned the Department of Construction to continue to coordinate with the Ministry of Construction and the Government Office to implement the approved plan; take the lead in developing plans and scenarios for organizing groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for key projects and works of the city on this occasion, ensuring appropriate communication forms and coordination with the general program nationwide.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee also assigned Hai Phong Newspaper, Radio and Television to proactively contact and closely coordinate with Vietnam Television to develop the program and script for the ceremony at the city's bridge. In particular, the leaders of Hai Phong Newspaper, Radio and Television need to direct the professional department to survey the scene, select the context, coordinate with the event organizer to arrange the space and celebrate the event area, thereby introducing and promoting the image of Hai Phong city widely in the important event of the whole country./.
