The stock market on the last trading session of the week, July 19, turned down nearly 10 points.
In particular, the real estate group of stocks plummeted. QCG shares hit the floor and lost liquidity after information that authorities searched the house of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Loan, General Director of Quoc Cuong Gia Lai Company. Other stocks also fell sharply: DIG and NVL decreased by 3.64%, PDR decreased by 4.03%, CTD decreased by 2.37%, NLG decreased by 2.96%, DXG decreased by 4.26%, TCH decreased by 3.86%, NTL decreased by 3.45%...
The group of securities stocks has a strong differentiation after some business results reports for the second quarter of 2024 revealed. The group of high-profit enterprises maintained the growth momentum: SSI increased by 1.31%, VND increased by 2.58%, MBS increased by 1.14%; SHS increased by nearly 1%. On the contrary, VIX decreased by the floor, BVS decreased by 5.19%, FTS decreased by 3.31%, CTS decreased by 3.39%; HCM, VCI decreased by nearly 1%.
The banking group also had differentiation but the red color was slightly higher: TCB decreased by 1.27%, SHB and VPB decreased by 1.31%, BID decreased by 1.65%; VCB, HDB, STB, VIB, EIB decreased by nearly 1%. On the contrary: MBB increased by 2.01%, TPB increased by 2.22%, ACB increased by 1.21%, MSB increased by 1.36%, OCB increased by 3.78%, BVB increased by 1.45%...
The manufacturing group also shared the market's downward trend: GVR decreased by 4.3%, NKG decreased by 3.57%, DGC decreased by 1.38%, HSG decreased by 2.66%, GEX decreased by 2.64%...
At the end of the trading session, VN-Index decreased by 9.66 points (0.76%) to 1,264.78 points with 324 stocks decreasing, 126 stocks increasing and 49 stocks remaining unchanged. At the end of the session on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, HNX-Index also decreased by 1.97 points (0.81%) to 240.52 points with 120 stocks decreasing, 47 stocks increasing and 62 stocks remaining unchanged. Liquidity continued to decrease, with the total trading value on the HOSE floor being just over VND18,500 billion, down VND500 billion compared to yesterday.
Foreign investors returned to net selling nearly 348 billion VND on the HOSE after 2 previous net buying sessions. Foreign investors still focused on net selling large stocks: FPT over 228 billion VND, VHM nearly 159 billion VND, TCB nearly 105 billion VND, MSN nearly 93 billion VND...
