In the context of the global economy shifting strongly towards sustainable development, businesses must not only adapt to the requirements of digital transformation but also move towards green, environmentally friendly growth models. Not out of that trend, in recent years, Vinphaco has constantly innovated, created, and strived to implement dual transformation - combining digital transformation and green transformation to optimize costs, reduce product prices and meet the increasingly demanding needs of customers.
Identifying digital human resources as an important step to implement effective and sustainable digital transformation, right from the recruitment stage, Vinphaco always prioritizes workers with expertise and experience in technology, who can master new technology; apply and transfer technology from outsourcing units. Along with that, focusing on training internal personnel on digital transformation, digital thinking, green economy to encourage learning, developing, and applying new technology faster and easier, contributing to improving productivity, product quality, and promoting growth.
Creating a foundation for businesses to adapt flexibly and maintain a competitive advantage in the digital environment, the company coordinates with units to upgrade network systems to increase speed and transmission stability. Upgrade computers and laptops to meet technical specifications; invest in firewall and network security systems to increase security. Along with that, the company regularly reviews and optimizes current processes to ensure technology is deployed effectively, avoids waste and increases practical value.
In 2024, Vinphaco will officially put into operation the international standard SAP S/4HANA overall enterprise management system with 5 subsystems including FICO (finance and accounting), MM (purchasing and warehouse), PP (production management), SD (sales management), QM (quality management).
At the same time, coordinating the establishment of Mobile Apps for 3 target groups: pharmaceutical representatives, delivery staff, customers and integrating E-Invoice (electronic invoice) with E-Banking (electronic banking) contributes to improving management, speeding up operations, business and increasing the experience for customers and partners in the digital age.
Currently, 70% of the proposal, approval and payment processes at Vinphaco have been completely deployed on the electronic office system. Thereby, creating a modern and professional working environment, helping businesses manage more transparently, optimize many processes, save time, improve productivity and efficiency.
Implementing green transformation, along with installing automatic lighting systems, using sensor systems, installing solar panels, Vinphaco has invested in renovating boilers, replacing fossil fuels such as coal with Biomass. These are biological materials derived from organisms and plants such as agricultural and forestry waste (straw, tree residue, dry leaves, wood chips, scrap paper, etc.), contributing to reducing emissions, reducing negative impacts on the environment and meeting the increasing needs of customers.
In addition, the company has completed and put into use the BFS technology plastic packaging production line to produce injections and aerosols. BFS technology does not only stop at high quality and safety, convenience is also an outstanding advantage when the product has packaging made from specialized plastic materials, which is both convenient for use and storage, can be recycled, contributing to environmental protection and has a variety of shapes and designs, meeting the increasingly high tastes of the market.
With the tireless efforts of the staff, workers and employees, especially the pioneering implementation of dual conversion, up to now, Vinphaco is a Vietnamese enterprise with the highest output of injectable drugs in the country. The company's products serve well the examination and treatment of central and local hospitals nationwide and are exported to foreign markets.
With more than 300 pharmaceutical products in 25 quality treatment groups, Vinphaco currently supplies more than 10,000 medical examination and treatment facilities nationwide and exports to more than 10 countries around the world. In 2024, Vinphaco continues to be listed in the Top 100 Golden Star Enterprises of Vietnam. This is a national award held annually to honor the leading enterprises, brands, and products in Vietnam.
Mr. Pham Xuan Tho, Chief Financial Officer, Vinh Phuc Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company said: Green transformation and digital transformation are both urgent needs and strategies for businesses to develop sustainably, reach the world and meet the increasing demands of customers. The dual transformation journey is not only applicable to large enterprises but also to small and medium enterprises.
However, to successfully convert dual, businesses need to have a specific and clear plan and roadmap in terms of human resources, costs, infrastructure and technology. At the same time, start with small, practical steps. Combine self-implementation and outsourcing; take advantage of support policies from the state to save costs and time. In particular, each officer and employee must comply with the principles and implementation requirements of the project.
Currently, Vinphaco has built a comprehensive digital transformation strategy with a vision to 2028. In 2025 alone, the company will continue to build smart warehouses, warehouse management software with PM subsystem (management of maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment) and WM (detailed warehouse management, management of goods location to each area and shelf).
