In round 12 of V-League 2024 taking place this afternoon (March 3), Hanoi Club will be a guest at 19/8 Nha Trang Stadium of Khanh Hoa Club, with the goal of having to get points to regain their image.
Hanoi Club (left) is in decline this season.
In the previous round, they lost 2-3 to Nam Dinh after leading 2-1 in the 90+3 minute, surprising fans. In previous seasons, Mr. Hien's team was always the "big guy" in the V-League. There were times when they wanted to win, regardless of who their opponent was. During that golden period, Hanoi FC won 6 V-League championships, 3 National Cup championships and 5 National Super Cups.
However, this season, Mr. Hien's team has been inexplicably declining. In the last 5 matches, they have only won 1 match against Ho Chi Minh City Club. Having lost their inherent strength, Hanoi Club can now lose to any team. The proof is that they lost 0-2 to LPBank HAGL Club in the 8th round.
Japanese coach of Hanoi team
The team is in decline, so it is understandable to fire the coach. Hanoi FC has used 4 coaches this season, and this number is not certain to stop. Changing coaches too often only makes the team lose stability because the players have to constantly adapt to the philosophy of each different coach. After Quang Hai, Doan Van Hau and many other good players left, Hanoi FC did not have any significant reinforcements, leading to public opinion that perhaps Mr. Hien is tired of football?
Returning to the match against host Khanh Hoa, the team led by coach Iwamasa Daiki has just said goodbye to goalkeeper Bui Tan Truong (who joined Binh Phuoc team), so goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan will guard the goal. Their attack line still has heavy artillery such as Pham Tuan Hai, Nguyen Van Quyet, Denilson, so they are capable of tearing the home team's net. The problem is that coach Iwamasa Daiki needs to strengthen the defense, because they are the team with the second most goals conceded in V-League 2024 with 17 goals, only less than Hai Phong Club (19 goals).
If they continue to lose this match, this will be a season to forget for the team that was once a great force in Vietnamese football.
Coach Kiatisak competes with coach Vu Hong Viet
At Hang Day Stadium, Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) will welcome Ha Tinh (6 p.m.). Since leading CAHN Club, Coach Kiatisak has been continuously successful with 3 wins to climb to 3rd place with 21 points, threatening the top position of Nam Dinh Club.
Coach Vu Hong Viet
Coach Kiatisak has done a great job of focusing on strengthening the defense and implementing effective counter-attacking football with the players he has at his disposal. Under the Thai coach, players Nguyen Quang Hai, Ho Tan Tai, Nguyen Van Thanh, Bui Hoang Viet Anh… have all played well, helping the team play well both at home and away. With their current form, CAHN Club is capable of taking all 3 points against Ha Tinh Club.
If CAHN FC wins, it will be a huge pressure on the top team Nam Dinh. This round, the team from Thanh Nam will face difficulties because they have to play away against host SLNA (6 p.m.). Although the Nghe An team plays erratically, it is very difficult to play at Vinh Stadium. Therefore, if they cannot take advantage of the strength of the attack with strikers Nguyen Van Toan, Rafaelson, Hendrio, coach Vu Hong Viet's team may be divided and have their points shortened by coach Kiatisak's team.
The remaining matches of round 12 of V-League 2024 take place this afternoon (March 3): 5:00 p.m.: Quang Nam vs. Binh Dinh; 7:15 p.m.: Ho Chi Minh City vs. Binh Duong.
LPBank HAGL finds joy again
LPBank HAGL Club had the joy again when defeating the host Thanh Hoa 2-1 in round 12 of V-League 2024 which took place last night (March 2). With newly reinforced quality players such as Joao Oliveira Veras, Gabriel Dias, Huynh Tan Tai, LPBank HAGL played confidently and was ready to push up the attacking formation against coach Popov's army. The mountain town team played very well in this match and defended quite solidly, so it was effective. Minh Vuong scored the opening goal due to goalkeeper Xuan Hoang (Thanh Hoa)'s mispass, but the goal that sealed 2-1 was a corner kick arrangement for Joao Oliveira Veras to head decisively in the 16m50 box. Thanh Hoa scored 1 goal from the 11m mark, due to defender Gabriel Dias (LPBank HAGL) letting the ball touch his hand in the penalty area. Winning this match, LPBank HAGL got 10 points and temporarily rose to 12th place on the rankings. In the remaining match, Hai Phong tied with The Cong Viettel 1-1.
