Werder Bremen, a team from the German women's national championship (Frauen-Bundesliga), brought almost the strongest squad with 26 players and 9 coaching staff members.

Head coach Thomas Horsch affirmed his absolute respect for the Vietnamese women's team, currently ranked 37th in the world . Therefore, in the list of players coming to Vietnam this time, he has summoned the most important pillars of the green team.

The most notable face is striker Larissa Muhlhaus, born in 2002, who scored 8 goals for Bremen in the 2024/25 season. Previously, she won the title of top scorer in the German Second Division while playing for Hamburg with 22 goals, an achievement that clearly shows the young star's scoring instinct.

Werder Bremen also has Juliane Wirtz, the older sister of Florian Wirtz - the star who won the Bundesliga with Leverkusen last season. Juliane plays as a midfielder, has made 19 appearances in the women's Bundesliga this season and is highly regarded for her ability to dictate play.

Not only are they superior in terms of expertise, the German representative also impresses with their physique. The two central defenders Lara Schmidt and Hanna Nemeth are both 1m80 tall, while most of the players are over 1m60. This will be a significant challenge for Vietnamese players such as Hoang Thi Loan, Tuyet Dung, Hai Yen or Ngoc Minh Chuyen when they have to face opponents who are superior in terms of physical strength and stature.

Werder Bremen women's team just finished the Bundesliga season in 7th place after 22 rounds (9 wins, 2 draws, 11 losses), scoring 28 goals and conceding 39. The tour in Vietnam is considered a memorable highlight for the players, just a few days after the last match of the season on May 1.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, General Secretary of VFF, affirmed: "We always create conditions for the women's team to compete with quality opponents to gain experience and improve their skills."
