Veo 3, Google's advanced AI video creation tool, has become a global phenomenon since its launch at the Google I/O 2025 conference.
In less than a month, Vietnamese social media has been flooded with AI-generated “comedy” videos. Users have created all sorts of genres from MV parodies, fictional interviews, everyday jokes, and even reenactments of Vietnamese history in an animated style… The common point is that the clips are humorous and easy to spread.
Hashtags #VeoAI, #videoAI, #AIvietsub attract tens of millions of views. Many accounts specializing in posting AI videos have reached more than 500,000 followers in just a few weeks. Many young people turn this passion into a summer service, accepting orders to make videos on demand, writing scripts or renting out Veo 3 accounts.

However, the Veo 3 fever does not come with adequate security measures. Although Google has not officially expanded Veo 3 to Vietnam, many people still find ways to access it via VPN or buy accounts from unknown sources. Some services advertise cheap accounts and support quick video editing, but pose high risks.
Experts warn that logging in with personal accounts or paying through unknown intermediary platforms can lead to data leaks, loss of social media account information or even exposure of credit card information.
Despite warnings about data security, young Vietnamese people continue to follow the trend. “I know there are risks, but I only use it a few times for fun, and I don’t log in to my main account, so I think it’s okay,” said a student in Hanoi .
This sentiment is fueling the AI video wave. With its ease of use, intuitive interface, and vivid visual storytelling capabilities, Veo 3 is a fun and novel entertainment tool.
