According to Mr. Ho Ly Thai, a consultant specializing in cloud computing solutions at CMC Telecom, Generative AI is being widely applied in universities worldwide , bringing many practical benefits such as optimizing teaching, personalizing learning content, automating tasks, and providing valuable in-depth information for educational administrators. A representative from CMC Telecom also shared information about Microsoft Copilot – a tool developed by Microsoft to support lecturers and students in teaching and learning, aiming to provide a more modern and effective learning experience. Using Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot acts as a virtual assistant, helping lecturers save time preparing lesson plans while maintaining the energy to deliver knowledge to students, providing guidance, and enhancing learning capabilities. With Copilot, instructors can easily create lesson plans, questions, self-assessment sheets, and other classroom resources for all levels of learners. Students, in particular, can use Copilot for free to ask questions, search for study guides, look up complex academic information, create images for materials and presentations, and support multilingual learning. Personalized learning: Copilot can support personalized learning by helping instructors create content, provide appropriate content guidance, and guide students based on their individual needs. Brainstorming: Instructors can use Copilot to find new ideas for teaching activities, lesson plans, supporting materials, and assignments. Lesson plan design: Copilot can help design lesson plans by suggesting or drafting activities, resources, and assessments that align with learning objectives. Enhanced assessment capabilities: Generative AI technology automatically grades assignments, analyzes student feedback, and evaluates the learning process, reducing manual assessment work for instructors and providing quick feedback to students. Fast search results: Copilot can help instructors get quick answers without having to sift through multiple search results. Additionally, Copilot provides links to content sources so instructors can assess the quality of the information source or delve deeper into the original content. "With years of experience implementing digital transformation projects using Microsoft 365 for universities and educational institutions, we highly appreciate the intelligent features of Microsoft Copilot. Applying this tool in universities is essential to modernize and personalize the teaching and learning experience, contributing to improving the quality of education and training," Mr. Thai affirmed.
