This is a webinar in CMC Telecom's "SMEs on Cloud" online seminar series, aimed at guiding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on optimal and secure solutions in the cloud computing environment.

Security risks that businesses may face when moving to the cloud.

This event focuses on cloud security and features two speakers: Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuc, a security consultant with over 10 years of experience, and Mr. Le Doan, a CMC Cloud expert with in-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure.

During the webinar, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuc shared insights into the security risks businesses may face when migrating their systems to the cloud. Common security challenges include external attacks, unauthorized access, and security vulnerabilities that leave business data vulnerable. Mr. Phuc also emphasized the importance of multi-level security standards, particularly level 3 – a model that balances security with broad applicability within businesses.

Mr. Le Doan continued by highlighting four main risks that businesses may face when deploying cloud systems. First is the risk of control and management, as the business no longer has complete control over the infrastructure. Second is the risk from the service provider, due to dependence on the partner's security capabilities. Next is the risk of regulatory and legal compliance, requiring businesses to adhere to global security standards. Finally, there is the risk of backup and recovery capabilities, posing a significant challenge in ensuring data is not lost or disrupted in the event of a failure.

CMC Cloud's multi-level security solution

In his presentation, Mr. Le Doan introduced the advanced solutions that CMC Cloud is deploying, including Multi-CDN, WAAP/WAF, S3 Object Storage, and CNAPP (Cloud Native Application Protection Platform). These solutions help businesses not only optimize performance and ensure operational continuity but also comprehensively protect data. The Multi-CDN solution eliminates dependence on a single provider by intelligently switching between multiple CDN providers, ensuring the business website always operates stably. Meanwhile, WAAP/WAF integrates intelligent firewalls, protecting websites and APIs from threats such as SQL Injection, Cross-site Scripting, and other threats from OWASP Top 10.

CMC Cloud also introduced S3 Object Storage, a storage solution with 99.99% data durability, ideal for a variety of storage and frequent retrieval needs. In particular, CMC Telecom's CNAPP solution provides comprehensive protection for cloud-based applications, including access control management, security monitoring, and early threat detection.
