Thanh Nga said that her outstanding appearance can help her make a good first impression on students, but to be loved and respected by them, the more important thing is to always improve her knowledge. Currently, in addition to teaching at school, the teacher also has more than 60,000 followers on the Tiktok channel. She also regularly posts teaching videos and shares about her work as a teacher. “Compared to 3 years ago, now, I have accumulated more experience, knowledge and am more confident in teaching. Thanks to the old working environments, I have learned and trained to be able to work more professionally and according to standards in new environments. However, the new general education program has many changes, so I always tell myself to continue to study and improve more,” Thanh Nga shared. Coming from a family with a tradition of teaching, Thanh Nga has wanted to become a teacher since she was a child. “The character that inspired me was a teacher in the Korean movie “Cao thu hoc duong”. In the movie, the teacher was very dedicated, with his love, to be able to teach the naughtiest and worst children to become good people”. Thanh Nga acknowledged that in her journey, there will be good and bad students, sometimes even stubborn, but each student will have their own story. “Therefore, I always want to teach students with sympathy and love, not with heavy pressure”, Thanh Nga shared. The teacher shared that her decision to become a Physics teacher came from a somewhat childish initial reason. “In high school, during a debate, a male friend looked down on us when he said that girls would not be able to study natural sciences as well as boys. Therefore, I was determined to choose to study natural sciences to prove myself and let him know that girls can absolutely study well.” The more she studied and learned, the more Thanh Nga found Physics interesting and attractive, because knowledge of this subject helped her understand how everything around her operated, from very small things like atoms to very large things like the solar system and the universe; from familiar objects in life to complex machines,... Therefore, the young teacher always advised her students that the most important thing to be able to study this subject well is to study with human's instinct of discovery , understand the nature of physics and relate it to practice. In teaching, teacher Thanh Nga does not want to only guide students to practice for exams. Because according to her, if only focusing on practicing for exams, students can do well on the exam; but if teaching based on understanding the nature, students can both do well on the exam and still have a solid foundation of understanding and knowledge to develop further. The basic knowledge is the same, but each teacher has a different way of teaching. Teacher Thanh Nga always emphasizes connecting to reality and guiding students with open-ended questions. "I do not impose knowledge but try to open up students to discover knowledge for themselves. This will help them understand the nature of the problem better, thereby becoming more interested in the subject and not finding it difficult." Now, what makes Ms. Thanh Nga very happy is that some of her students have achieved scores of 9 - 9.5 in the high school graduation exam. In addition, some students have won many awards in excellent student competitions. The young teacher said that in the coming time, in addition to trying to teach well at school, she will continue to livestream and record videos of Physics lessons and post them on social networks to motivate students across the country.
