Teacher dedicated to education in mountainous areas

In 2011, after graduating from the University of Education, teacher Hoang Thi Nhung worked at Ta Thanh Primary Boarding School - a particularly difficult highland commune of Muong Khuong district. Along with overcoming difficulties in life, teacher Hoang Thi Nhung always spends time learning about the circumstances of each student, from there having appropriate and effective educational methods, motivating them to love going to school and be passionate about learning.

Teacher Hoang Thi Nhung shared: “I also understand the hardships of this place as well as the difficulties in going to school for the children. The motivation for me to stay with Ta Thanh land is that there are good students, enthusiastic students, confident in their lessons”.

To help students access lectures more easily, Ms. Nhung always researches, innovates and flexibly uses teaching methods suitable to the perception of each group of students; in which she especially focuses on initiative, creativity, and improving students' self-study ability. The quality of education in the classes she is in charge of is always high, last school year, 6 students won prizes at district-level competitions, 2 students won prizes at the provincial level in the "Writing Correctly - Writing Beautifully" competition.

Ms. Nhung flexibly uses teaching methods suitable to the perception of each group of students.

Sung Thi Lanh, Class 4A3, Ta Thanh Primary Boarding School, Muong Khuong District shared: “I really love Ms. Nhung’s lessons. Through her lessons, I have gained more useful knowledge and interesting games. She takes care of us wholeheartedly like a mother. I will try to study well to become a teacher like Ms. Nhung in the future.”

Mr. Cao A Củi, Principal of Ta Thang Primary School for Ethnic Minorities, Muong Khuong District said: “Ms. Hoang Thi Nhung is a teacher from the lowlands who came to work in the highlands. She is a very exemplary and model person. She is a teacher who always tries her best, learns from her colleagues and helps her colleagues.”

With her dedication to education, teacher Hoang Thi Nhung and other teachers have been sowing knowledge every day to light up the future for students in the highlands.
