Should I buy a Daewoo Matiz car for more than 40 million VND to practice driving?
The used car market is not lacking in cheap options from over 40-70 million VND and the 2005 - 2008 Daewoo Matiz A-size hatchback is among them.

Before the Vietnamese market "welcomed the wave" of cheap small cars such as Kia Morning, VinFast Fadil, Hyundai i10,... the Daewoo Matiz model had been "making waves" in the market for many years. Daewoo Matiz entered the Vietnamese market in the 2000s. Until now, after about 25 years, Daewoo Matiz can still be seen rolling diligently on the road. When it first arrived in Vietnam, Daewoo Matiz was an imported car and began to be assembled domestically in 1998. After the car company withdrew from the Vietnamese market, Matiz also stopped production. However, Daewoo Matiz cars that have been on the road for decades still have great appeal on the used car market.
Currently, Daewoo Matiz cars on the used car market are mainly produced from 2005 - 2008. The price of used Daewoo Matiz cars is fluctuating around 45-83 million VND, depending on the quality of the car (the car in the article is a 2008 manual transmission version, currently being sold on the used car market for 45 million VND, not negotiable). Cheap, easy to find, easy to buy are the obvious advantages of the used Daewoo Matiz for many years. With a price equivalent to a mid-range scooter like the Honda Air Blade, Piaggio Libert, the Daewoo Matiz easily convinces customers to spend money to make their dream of a car come true. In addition, Daewoo Matiz has a compact size, can move flexibly in crowded inner city. Spend a small amount of money to own an automatic car, moving in the city is more leisurely than manual cars. Another plus point for this car is the electric front window.
Nowadays, garages are everywhere and can help owners of old Daewoo Matiz fix errors as well as diagnose "diseases" on the car. Spare parts are readily available and cheap. Old cars that have been on the road for more than 20 years like Daewoo Matiz have many points that make buyers hesitate. First is the degraded chassis system. Many people have had to "renovate" the engine to make the car operate safely. The car has few options. The rear door is still manual. The interior space is cramped, especially the second row of seats. The soundproofing is not good, the noise echoes into the cabin quite clearly. Safety equipment on this model is also limited. The car only has 1 airbag in the driver's seat and is not equipped with electronic balance. In addition, many car parts are also expired, not ensuring safety.
The 0.8L 3-cylinder engine block on the car is only suitable for moving in the inner city. When the car operates at a speed of more than 80 km/h, the phenomenon of engine sluggishness is clearly revealed. Low cost of ownership, many people buy Daewoo Matiz 2005 to practice driving, or to "protect from rain and sun" instead of motorbike, but this is not an economical option. At the same time, users have to trade off many factors when deciding to bring this car home.
