TPO - On September 11, the flood water on the Red River rose very quickly and there was a risk of flooding in the area. The Bac Tu Liem District Police ( Hanoi ) proactively established 14 border checkpoints to carry out their duties, absolutely not allowing people and vehicles to go outside the dike area of ​​the Red River and Nhue River.

Bac Tu Liem District Police coordinated with other forces to set up 14 border checkpoints to prevent people from entering dangerous areas.

Faced with complicated weather developments, especially the impact of storm No. 3 causing heavy rain in the upstream area, floodwaters on the Red River rose very quickly, causing the risk of widespread flooding, directly affecting people's lives.

In Bac Tu Liem district (Hanoi), there are 4 wards located outside the Red River dike and 5 wards outside the Nhue River dike. Therefore, Bac Tu Liem District Police have proactively established 14 border checkpoints to carry out the task, mobilized departments, unions, socio -political organizations, and residential groups to patrol with the police, taking turns to guard 24/7 to strictly remind people not to enter dangerous residential areas outside the dike.

District police and local people helped move people and belongings to avoid flood water.

Previously, from the afternoon and evening and throughout the night of September 10, hundreds of officers and soldiers of the District Police, Ward Police, along with the militia and self-defense forces, ward military forces have been accompanying and supporting the evacuation of people and property to safe shelters, and at the same time have plans to support the repair and reinforcement of weak dykes in the context of complicated rain and flood conditions.

At key points, the District Police Command was present at the scene, at vulnerable points, flooded areas, and at risk of landslides to inspect and directly direct rescue work, and evacuate households from unsafe areas.

Up to now, Bac Tu Liem District Police have evacuated 963 households with 4,621 people from unsafe areas to cultural houses, schools... in the district to ensure safety, provide food and accommodation during the evacuation for all residents.

At the same time, ensure safe storage of assets and livestock during the evacuation period so that people can confidently carry out storm and flood prevention.
