Announcing typical literary and artistic works created at the Creative Houses

(Chinhphu.vn) - The announcement, display and honoring of works created at the Composer Houses is not only a professional summary activity, but also demonstrates the deep concern of the Party and State for the intellectuals and artists - those who have contributed to nurturing the vitality of national culture and enhancing the "soft power" of the nation.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Khoi, Acting Director of the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation, spoke at the ceremony.

This afternoon (August 20), the Announcement Ceremony of "Typical literary and artistic works and projects created at the Creative Houses organized by the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in the period of 2017 - 2022" took place in Hanoi. This is the second time the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation has organized this Announcement Ceremony.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Khoi, Acting Director of the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation, said that this is also an opportunity to honor the artistic work of the artists and the creative achievements of the authors. At the same time, it creates motivation and encouragement for the artists to continue to nurture their passion and enthusiasm, creating many works with profound ideological values ​​and unique artistic forms, honestly reflecting the reality of the country, expressing the national spirit and the desire for innovation and development.

During the period from 2017 to 2022, overcoming many objective difficulties, the Center successfully organized 338 comprehensive writing camps and 64 artists' trips to create in-depth writing at 7 Writing Houses: Tam Dao, Dai Lai, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Vung Tau and Can Tho Writing House (Can Tho Writing House alone started organizing camps from April 2022).

The dance "Du ca hanh phuc" was choreographed by People's Artist Pham Anh Phuong, President of the Vietnam Dance Artists Association.

Each year, an average of 50 to 70 creative camps are held, gathering nearly 1,000 artists and nearly 6,000 artists in the period 2017-2022. This is truly an impressive number, affirming the stature and prestige of the Center in accompanying artists on the path of creativity.

From those Creative Camps, 19,157 works of different genres were born, including: Literature: 9,654 works; Fine Arts: 1,936 works; Photography: 4,311 works; Music: 1,258 works; Theater: 455 works; Cinema: 390 works; Architecture: 81 works; Folk Arts: 280 works; Literature and Arts of Ethnic Minorities: 447 works; Dance: 315 works.

The works created at the Composers' Houses in the period 2017-2022 are not only diverse in genre but also rich in form, affirming their artistic value and influence in cultural life. Many works bear the mark of new creativity, deeply reflecting the reality of the country and Vietnamese people in the period of renovation and integration. Literary works have contributed to enriching the treasure of contemporary literature, creating resonance among professionals and readers. In the fields of fine arts, photography, music , theater, cinema, dance... many works have not only won prestigious domestic awards but also been exhibited, performed and released abroad, introducing the image of Vietnam to international friends.

The Organizing Committee honors outstanding works.

According to reports from the Literature and Arts Associations and the units organizing the Creative Camp, in the period of 2017-2022, 283 works won awards at competitions and received certificates of merit, including: 192 works in the fields of literature, stage scripts, film scripts, and critical theory won central and local awards; 71 works in the fine arts and photography categories won domestic and international awards; 20 film scripts were put into production and won awards at the Film Festival, received certificates of merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Association and news agencies and newspapers; many works in the theater and dance categories were also honored by central professional associations.

Among the works published and awarded in the period 2017-2022, there are 34 typical works honored by Associations, agencies and units at this Announcement Ceremony.

In the coming time, the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation will continue to strive to innovate its content and methods of operation, improve service quality, and focus on building an open, diverse and modern creative space to better meet the increasing creative needs of artists. Thereby, contributing to concretizing the attention and care for culture, literature and art according to the guidelines and policies of the Party and State.
