At the meeting, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the official logo of the Vietnam Exhibition House at EXPO 2025 and a cooperation agreement on promoting and introducing the potential of Vietnamese localities at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai. On this occasion, for the first time, Myaku-Myaku - the mascot of the World Exhibition EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai was officially introduced in Vietnam.
World EXPO is one of the three largest global events in the world (along with the World Cup and the Olympic Games), attracting most countries to participate at the state level.
The World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai will take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025 in Osaka (Japan) with the participation of more than 150 countries and international organizations. With the theme of "Designing the Future Society for Our Lives", EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai hopes to attract 28 million domestic and international visitors.

The character Myaku-Myaku, designed by artist Kouhei Yamashita, beat nearly 2,000 “rivals” to win the competition to select the official mascot of EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai. Described as a “mysterious creature” whose body is made of cells (red) and water (blue), often appearing in a form similar to a human, Myaku-Myaku has a flexible body, able to flexibly transform into different shapes.
Before coming to Vietnam, Myaku-Myaku had “traveled” through more than 20 countries to promote the spirit of EXPO 2025 as well as the philosophy of life and the strong creativity of the people and country of Japan. During her time in Hanoi , Myaku-Myaku “visited” some famous landmarks of the capital such as the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hanoi Old Quarter, etc.
On the occasion of Myaku-Myaku's launch to the Vietnamese public, the Department of International Cooperation - the unit assigned by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to deploy and operate the Vietnam Exhibition House at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, announced the official logo of the Vietnam Exhibition House.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hoa, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, General Representative of Vietnam at EXPO 2025, said that the logo of the Vietnam Exhibition House at EXPO 2025 is a tribute to Vietnamese cultural identity combined with inspiration from the mascot Myaku-Myaku, expressing the intersection between tradition, modernity and the future, praising the friendship between Vietnam and Japan, and at the same time expressing Vietnam's desire for a sustainable, inclusive, internationally integrated society with people at the center.
The logo impresses with the image of a graceful Vietnamese girl in a white ao dai, wearing a traditional conical hat and holding a pink lotus in her hand - symbolizing the noble Vietnamese soul and intelligence, always cherishing traditional values and constantly striving to improve. The colorful clouds in the logo are inspired by the cloud motifs in Hang Trong folk paintings - representing the connection between the past and the present, heritage and creativity...

According to Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hoa, the logo also has a strong cultural exchange between Vietnam and Japan. The large circle behind symbolizes the earth and evokes the image of Japan - "the land of the rising sun", at the same time showing integration, connection with the world, towards sustainable development. The main colors of blue and red in the logo are inspired by the mascot Myaku-Myaku.
Myaku-Myaku's visit to Vietnam and the event of announcing the logo of the Vietnam Exhibition House are positive beginnings for Vietnam's journey at EXPO 2025. With the theme "Inclusive society with people at the center", through modern exhibition language, art performances and many highly interactive activities, the Vietnam Exhibition House wishes to tell the world's friends the most unique stories of a beautiful Vietnam, promoting green development, taking cultural values as the foundation, putting people at the center for sustainable development, ready for an era of national growth.
