According to Decision 966/QD-BTC dated March 5, 2025, of the Minister of Finance , the Customs Sub-Department of Region XVII is a unit under the Customs Department.
The Customs Sub-Department of Region XVII, headquartered in Long An, performs the function of state management of customs in the provinces of Long An, Ben Tre, and Tien Giang .
The Customs Sub-Department of Region XVII has 7 offices, departments, and teams, and 6 border/non-border customs offices.
At the conference, a representative from the Customs Department announced the decision of the Director of the Customs Department regarding the temporary transfer and appointment of Mr. Nguyen Trung Hai, Chief of the Office, to the position of Head of the Customs Sub-Department of Region XVII, effective from March 15, 2025.

Simultaneously, Decision No. 62/QD-CHQ dated March 5, 2025, of the Director of the Customs Department was announced regarding the appointment, transfer, and temporary appointment of three civil servants to the position of Deputy Head of the Customs Sub-Department of Region XVII, including: Mr. Nguyen Van Bong (Director of Tay Ninh Customs Department), Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh (Deputy Director of Long An Customs Department), and Mr. Le Nam Quoc (Deputy Director of Long An Customs Department), effective from March 15, 2025.
Speaking at the conference, Director of the Customs Department Nguyen Van Tho requested that the Customs Sub-Department of Region XVII continue to unite and focus on resolving customs administrative procedures within the prescribed time, without interruption. He urged the newly appointed officers to uphold a high sense of responsibility, constantly innovate, be creative, and actively apply technology to their work to improve efficiency and meet the requirements of the new situation.
On the same day, a conference was held in Dak Lak to announce decisions regarding the functions, tasks, organizational structure, and personnel organization of the Customs Sub-Department of Region XIV. Deputy Director of the Customs Department, Luu Manh Tuong, attended the conference.

The Customs Sub-Department of Region XIV (named after the merger of Dak Lak Customs Department and Gia Lai - Kon Tum Customs Department). Mr. Do Viet Toan, Deputy Director of Dak Lak Customs Department, has been transferred and appointed to the position of Director of the Customs Sub-Department of Region XIV.
At the conference, representatives from the Customs Department announced the decision to transfer and appoint three civil servants to the position of Deputy Head of the Customs Sub-Department of Region XIV for a limited term, including: Ms. Le Thi Thanh Huyen (Deputy Head of the Gia Lai Kon Tum Customs Department), Mr. Hoang Luong Quan (Deputy Head of the Gia Lai Kon Tum Customs Department), and Mr. Ho Van Dung (Deputy Head of the Dak Lak Customs Department).
In his acceptance speech, Do Viet Toan, Head of the Customs Sub-Department of Region XIV, affirmed that the sub-department will continue to unite, uphold a sense of responsibility, adhere to the law, and maintain administrative discipline and order; enhance capabilities, competence, and professional skills; build a stronger unit; and contribute to the overall development of the customs sector. He also pledged to seriously implement and ensure sufficient resources for the new organizational structure to operate as directed.
