Focus on improving the organization

CIC Group's grassroots union currently has 617 employees, including 601 union members and over 1,000 irregular workers participating in 7 member grassroots unions and departmental grassroots unions.

In recent times, trade unions have regularly paid attention to and grasped the thoughts and aspirations of employees, and coordinated with representatives of employers to promptly resolve difficulties, concerns, and disputes arising in labor relations at the grassroots level. “The grassroots trade unions participate in building and signing the “Collective Labor Agreement” with many provisions beneficial to employees such as: Collective welfare regime, working hours, rest, wages, bonuses, meal allowances, sightseeing, vacations, housing support, periodic health check-ups, etc. In addition, the Trade Union also coordinates with employers to conduct periodic dialogues, contributing to building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations, creating a driving force to promote production and business development,” said Chairwoman of the CIC Group Grassroots Trade Union Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh.

Identifying the development of union members as an important task, from 2023 up to now, CIC Group's grassroots union has issued a decision to establish 1 new grassroots union member; admitted 105 new union members; promoted propaganda and dissemination of the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State to union members and workers...

Caring for union members' lives

The grassroots trade union cooperates with the Board of Directors to well implement the regime and policies related to employees, providing labor protection insurance of nearly 100 million VND/year in accordance with regulations; salaries and bonuses are increased annually according to production and business results; promptly visit and help union members when they are sick, ill, mourning, happy, and provide emergency subsidies in difficult cases, with an amount of over 500 million VND.

The grassroots unions also mobilized contributions to the mutual fund for funerals, visits to the sick, support for union members with serious illnesses, and support for 189 weddings, with a total amount of 201 million VND; proposed that the unit's leaders give gifts to employees on Tet and major holidays of the year, worth over 6 billion VND.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh said: “The Union has proposed and advised the Board of Directors of the company to increase the level of gratitude for employees who have worked continuously for 20-30 years at CIC Group to be given a savings book worth 20 million VND. Increase the level of support for medical examination and treatment costs for employees from 10 million VND to 20 million VND/person, support for relatives of employees from 5 million VND to 10 million VND/patient; maximum meal expenses of 730,000 VND/person/month”.

CIC Group's grassroots union also coordinated with the Board of Directors and the company's grassroots union to support the Vietnamese Heroic Mother in Giong Rieng commune until the end of her life, with a support level of 1 million VND/month; renovating and building 5 new houses for union members from the "Union Shelter" support source of the Provincial Labor Federation, with a total construction cost of 250 million VND. The family of Ms. Bui Thi Lan - a member of the grassroots union of Kien Giang Urban Development Joint Stock Company, who has difficult housing circumstances, was supported to build a "Union Shelter". Ms. Lan shared: "My husband and I live with our elderly parents and raise 2 young children, with income that only covers our living expenses. I am very happy that my family has received attention from the union and the company at all levels, and has been supported with funding to build a new, spacious house. The house is the motivation for me to strive to work hard, stick with the business, and take care of my family's life."

At the 11th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held in Hanoi , the CIC Group Union was honored to be recognized as one of 37 typical advanced collectives nationwide; with 1 typical advanced union member. Promoting the achieved results, the unit continues to launch a widespread emulation movement, arousing the spirit of innovation and creativity among union members and workers.
