Leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Confederation of Labor and more than 500 workers and laborers attended.
At the program, comrade Le Dinh Hung - Permanent Vice President in charge of the Hanoi City Labor Federation reviewed the history of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945), creating a miracle in the history of the Vietnamese nation.
According to comrade Le Dinh Hung, promoting the spirit of the August Revolution and the immortal National Day of September 2, the Capital Trade Union has launched many emulation movements to arouse the sense of responsibility, creativity, and revolutionary enthusiasm of workers, civil servants, and laborers, contributing to agencies, units, and enterprises to overcome difficulties, successfully complete economic and social tasks, and maintain the growth and sustainable development of the unit.
Typical examples include the emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers", "Reviewing theory, practicing skills, competing for good workers", striving to achieve the title "Good workers of the Capital", "Initiatives among workers and employees of the Capital"... Through the emulation movements launched by the Trade Union, workers and employees of the Capital have promoted tens of thousands of technical innovation initiatives, applied to production and work, generating thousands of billions of VND in profits for businesses and contributing to the state budget.
The Capital Trade Union at all levels has also effectively implemented activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers. Typically, activities such as health check-ups, consultations, and free medicine for employees; financial support for the construction and repair of "Union Shelters"; subsidies for union members and workers in difficult circumstances; organizing cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities to improve the spiritual life, create a healthy and useful playground for workers, help them love life, love their jobs and be more attached to their units and businesses.
These days, in the jubilant atmosphere to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Capital's Trade Unions at all levels are actively promoting the patriotic emulation movement, propagating and educating the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of great national unity, the desire for peace, the will to be self-reliant, self-reliant, self-respecting and proud of the nation to confidently step into the new era - the era of national growth; organizing many key activities to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.
“Today’s art program is not only an opportunity to review the heroic tradition of the nation, but also a spiritual gift for the workers - those who are working day and night enthusiastically, contributing to the economic and social development of the capital and the country”, Comrade Le Dinh Hung affirmed.
On this occasion, workers and laborers in the capital enjoyed 17 musical and dance performances with themes praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the country and the capital, workers and love of life; the contributions of the Trade Union and laborers to typical socio-economic fields with the participation of professional artists, artists of the Vietnam - Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace and non-professional artists who are workers and laborers.
80 workers and laborers in difficult circumstances were also given gifts by the Hanoi City Labor Federation, each gift including 1 million VND in cash and a gift bag worth 300,000 VND.
