On June 21, at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Copenhagen, Ambassador Nguyen Le Thanh met and introduced himself to the Vietnamese community in Denmark on the occasion of starting his term of office in the area.

Welcoming the people to the meeting, Ambassador Nguyen Le Thanh highly appreciated the solidarity and development of the Vietnamese community - the ambassadors who silently preserve and promote the flame of Vietnamese culture in Denmark day and night, always turn to the country with a sincere heart and make practical contributions to the development of the locality, which are highly appreciated by the Danish government and people.

Ambassador Nguyen Le Thanh affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy will always care for, accompany and support the people with both responsibility and sincere affection, connecting the people with their homeland, and together with the people continue to foster and deepen the good friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Denmark.

Updating the people about the country's development achievements in recent times, the major policies and guidelines of the Party and State, including the arrangement and merger of provincial-level administrative units and the conversion of the two-level local government model, Ambassador Nguyen Le Thanh affirmed that this is an extremely great turning point in the comprehensive restructuring to build a streamlined, modern administration, capable of seizing opportunities in the new era.

The Ambassador also informed about the "four pillars" with four breakthrough Resolutions in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, international integration, legal reform, and private economic development, aiming to create a strong driving force for national development, towards realizing Vietnam's development vision by 2045.

Sharing about the content that people are very interested in related to the policy of creating favorable conditions for obtaining and regaining Vietnamese nationality, Ambassador Nguyen Le Thanh affirmed that this shows the respect and care of the Party and State for overseas Vietnamese, strengthening ties and creating favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese to participate in building and developing the country.

The Ambassador also informed about the positive developments in Vietnam-Denmark relations in recent times, with an important milestone towards the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2026.

Speaking on behalf of the community about some proposals to the Embassy in the coming time, Mr. Ngo Xuan Thanh, Mr. Tran Huong Lien, and Mr. Phan Ke Dat - who have lived in Denmark for more than 40 years, hope that the State will continue to care for and create favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese.

Appreciating Ambassador Nguyen Le Thanh for meeting the community right after presenting his credentials, overseas Vietnamese representatives expressed their joy at Vietnam's development achievements and affirmed that the Vietnamese community in Denmark always looks towards their homeland and country, focusing on preserving the identity and language of Vietnamese people in Denmark.

On behalf of the Association of Vietnamese Experts and Intellectuals in Denmark, Dr. Le Quy Vang, Chairman of the Association, wishes to connect and introduce Danish knowledge and lessons in the fields of science, technology, education, creating a business environment, etc., contributing to the development of the country.

Ms. Mariam Trinh, representing the youth, suggested that the Embassy continue to care for and support the people and organize events so that they have more opportunities to meet, increase understanding and love for their homeland and country.

The program was attended by more than 50 overseas Vietnamese, representatives of Vietnamese experts and intellectuals in Denmark; in addition, there was the presence of a number of representatives of people living in the city of Malmo, Sweden, bordering Denmark.
