Madam, what are the outstanding new features of the VME and SIE 2025 dual exhibition in Hanoi this year compared to previous ones, especially in connecting supporting industry enterprises?
For nearly two decades, VME and SIE have continuously played the role of strategic bridges, supporting Vietnamese manufacturing enterprises to expand their markets abroad, access modern technology and gradually participate in the global value chain.
VME, organized annually by RX Tradex, is the leading trade exhibition in Vietnam in the field of machinery, equipment and manufacturing technology. Since its first edition in 2008, VME has continuously expanded its scale and improved its quality, becoming a familiar destination for engineers, experts, managers and equipment suppliers at home and abroad. The exhibition is a place to update new technologies, and is also a strategic transit point for thousands of application solutions in smart factories, automation, AI, measurement and production control.
SIE is organized by JETRO in collaboration with VIETRADE, within the framework of the Vietnam - Japan Joint Initiative and the Vietnam - Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (VJEPA), with the goal of developing the supporting industry and improving the investment environment in Vietnam. Over the past 20 years, SIE has become a prestigious trade promotion forum, helping hundreds of Vietnamese enterprises gradually become tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers for large Japanese corporations.
The exhibition is held alternately between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, providing direct, in-depth connection sessions between Japanese buyers and Vietnamese enterprises in key areas such as electronic components, precision mechanics, plastic injection, molds, engineering plastics... areas with increasing localization demand.
VME & SIE 2025 is expected to be a comprehensive promotion platform, concretizing the supporting industry strategies that the Government is prioritizing. The event brings together nearly 200 international brands such as SINFONIA, LKM, AMETEK, TECOMACO, TANCO, HURCO, DYNCAST, CASTOR & WHEELS... focusing on introducing smart factory solutions, industrial robots, applied AI and new energy-saving technologies.
At VME & SIE 2025, in addition to the international exhibition scale being expanded in both the number of brands and depth of expertise, the exhibition is also designed as a comprehensive platform, integrating a series of specialized activities to bring the highest practical value to the participating supporting industry business community.
From experiencing the latest technology, connecting with strategic partners, to participating in multilateral trade promotion activities, all activities aim to support businesses to improve their competitiveness, expand their markets and deeply integrate into the global value chain.

What real opportunities will this year's exhibition bring to Vietnamese supporting industry enterprises, especially in market access and technology transfer?
The Vietnam Manufacturing and Supporting Industry Exhibition (VME) and the Vietnam - Japan Supporting Industry Exhibition (SIE) are exhibitions that provide very good support for the manufacturing industry as well as the supporting industry in Vietnam.
Therefore, at this year's event, we have a very clear mission, which is to support businesses, as well as connect buyers and sellers in the industry to find direct business cooperation opportunities, thereby understanding each other and supporting each other's development.
At the same time, in addition to connecting stakeholders, we also build and help businesses update knowledge and industry trends so that they can know more clearly and keep up with industry trends.
Accordingly, in addition to exhibition booths displaying and introducing advanced products and technologies, we also organize seminars and workshops, where we bring the latest information and knowledge from industries, from other countries, from other experts outside of Vietnam to Vietnam to share experiences and development trends of the supporting industry.
Through the seminars, businesses can learn and we rely on that to build a community of manufacturers as well as suppliers in this industry so that they can know each other better, can have more opportunities for cooperation in the future. From there, we can find opportunities, increase the use and application of technologies to keep up with the rapid development of the world.
Vietnam's industry has many opportunities for development.
As a unit that accompanies and is closely associated with the Vietnamese supporting industry, what do you think Vietnamese enterprises need to do to keep up with the development trends of the world's technology industry?
Over the past time, we have seen that Vietnam is an attractive investment destination, gathering many of the world's leading brands and FDI enterprises. Many foreign-invested enterprises bring high technology and complex production processes, as well as high standards to set up facilities or manufacture in Vietnam.
With the position of the first in the supply chain , I believe that Vietnam's supporting industry will certainly grow and develop strongly in the coming time. At the same time, along with the development of production lines as well as other stages in the supply chain, this will be a great opportunity for Vietnam's supporting industry; it is a great time for the supporting industry to have outstanding improvements and meet the huge demand out there.
Faced with that opportunity, Vietnamese enterprises need to catch up with technology and the important thing here is to continuously improve, constantly update and upgrade production lines in the supporting industry, raw material production or accessory production. Only then can we meet the increasing demand for technology as well as innovation and complexity in the entire supply chain.

How do you evaluate the development opportunities of Vietnam's supporting industry in the coming time, especially in fields such as electronics and automobile industry?
I believe that Vietnam's supporting industry is developing very rapidly, opening up great opportunities for Vietnam to become a strategic manufacturing center for many international corporations and customers, especially in fields such as electronics, precision manufacturing and the automotive industry.
A positive sign is that Vietnam's industrial sector has recorded impressive growth, showing that the industrial environment in Vietnam is expanding and developing rapidly. In addition, in terms of economic structure, the manufacturing and infrastructure segment currently contributes about 37% to the national GDP. This clearly affirms the priority orientation for developing Vietnam's manufacturing industry.
With this foundation, Vietnamese enterprises are facing a great opportunity to participate more deeply in the global supply chain. Not only stopping at processing or assembling, Vietnamese enterprises can go further in the value chain by investing in quality, technological innovation and connecting with international partners.
I also believe that the Vietnamese Government is making many efforts and providing timely support policies, creating motivation for domestic enterprises to improve their competitiveness. If we make good use of existing opportunities, the Vietnamese supporting industry can absolutely make great strides in the coming period.
Thank you!
The VME and SIE 2025 exhibitions taking place in Hanoi from August 6-8 mark 17 years of accompanying the manufacturing industry and more than two decades of sustainable cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in developing supporting industries.
The event is expected to attract more than 10,000 professional visitors from over 30 countries, operating in key industrial fields such as electricity, electronics, automobiles, precision mechanics, construction, plastics and chemicals...
