Talking with Colonel Ngo Xuan Hoi, Deputy Director of Factory Z117, we learned that in order to promote new markets, the Factory regularly participates in international fairs and exhibitions on mechanical engineering and civil products in Europe, America, and Japan, where the market is demanding, demanding high product quality but also opens up many opportunities.

Thanks to the active implementation of market activities, Factory Z117 has successfully introduced products such as folding beds, metal parts, exported household appliances and signed stable contracts with many international partners. In addition, the Factory has also expanded its production and business fields with aluminum products. At the same time, it has strengthened its links with suppliers, logistics service partners, and domestic enterprises, ensuring stable sources of raw materials, controlling input quality and reducing production costs.

In 2025, the Factory strives to achieve economic product revenue of more than 1,100 billion VND, ranking among the top mechanical factories of the General Department of Defense Industry. The Factory's strategy is to promote the development of economic products, retain existing customers and continue to research new products, thereby promoting growth and contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Quang, in 2025, the unit aims to have a revenue of more than 1,900 billion VND, a profit of nearly 90 billion VND, and an average income of more than 20 million VND/person/month. Provide more resources for development investment

The Law on Defense Industry, Security and Industrial Mobilization clearly states: The State prioritizes and encourages research and development of dual-use technology to serve socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security. According to Colonel Nguyen Bien Thuy, Deputy Director in charge of technology at Factory Z173, the shipbuilding industry pays great attention to promoting dual-use. Along with the national defense mission, economic products help maintain and expand the Factory's operations. "We always prioritize the national defense production mission. In addition, the Factory also builds a number of new economic products, notably high-speed boats, fishing boats, construction lifts, which are the first products built in Vietnam, and boats serving offshore wind power construction," said Colonel Nguyen Bien Thuy.

The leaders of Factory Z173 also expressed their hope that in the coming time, the Factory will continue to invest to increase the localization rate of shipbuilding products. Along with that, the defense industry factories can take advantage of each other's strengths, build a cooperative system, create a tightly linked chain, gradually improve capacity, and specialize products so that quality is increasingly improved.
