To ensure the restoration of power supply to customers, from October 9th to now, Bac Giang Electricity Company has directed its member power companies to concentrate all their forces on villages and residential groups to inspect and fix power grid problems, restore power supply, and ensure production, business and daily life of people in affected localities.
Specifically, in the area managed by the Yen The Regional Power Management Team, on October 8, the Team had to temporarily stop supplying power to all power lines and transformer stations in the old Yen The district, affecting more than 38,000 customers.
On October 9 and 10, the Yen The Regional Power Management Team sent forces to inspect the power grid and immediately fix problems, assess the situation, and ensure that power is turned on as soon as the water recedes.

As of 5:00 p.m. on August 10, more than 31,000 customers had their power restored, while about 7,000 customers in most of Bo Ha commune, part of Dong Ky commune and Yen The commune had not received power because the water level was still high, not ensuring safe power supply.
To prevent serious damage to the power grid, before storm No. 11 made landfall, the Yen The Regional Power Management Team issued a storm and flood watch, strictly implementing the "4 on-site" motto, ensuring 100% of the unit's personnel and shock troops, ready to handle incidents, with the spirit of restoring power as quickly as possible but ensuring absolute safety for the staff involved in handling the incident and electrical safety for the people. Before re-energizing, the Yen The Regional Power Management Team sent information to customers so that they could be aware and proactively prevent electrical accidents when restoring power to their homes.
Ms. Hoang Thi Hue, Head of Con Trang village, Xuan Luong commune, said: “Con Trang village has 81 households, 30 of which were severely flooded, so the whole village had no electricity. After the flood receded, people really needed electricity to pump water to clean their houses, appliances, and equipment to stabilize their lives. On the afternoon of October 10, when the water receded, workers from the Yen The Regional Electricity Management Team came to check safety and reminded people to ensure safety before turning on the electricity. Up to now, all households in the village have had electricity restored to restore production.”
In the area managed by the Viet Yen Regional Power Management Team, due to the impact of storm No. 11, more than 33,000 customers were affected. As of 5:00 p.m. on October 10, more than 5,000 customers in parts of the wards: Viet Yen, Nenh, Van Ha and Tien Son commune still had no electricity due to rising water levels.

The representative of the Viet Yen Regional Power Management Team shared that, from experience, the Van Ha ward area is prone to flooding during the rainy and stormy season, so the Team had previously proactively raised the meter box to minimize damage caused by flooding and speed up the restoration of electricity to customers after the water receded.

In the area under the management of the Lang Giang Regional Power Management Team, storm No. 11 caused power outages for more than 33,000 customers. The Lang Giang Regional Power Management Team has urgently prepared materials, dispatched personnel to handle the situation and restore power to customers as soon as safety is assured.
Thanks to that, by 5:00 p.m. on October 10, only about 15,000 customers in the areas of My Thai and Tien Luc communes still had no power due to flooding. Notably, a specialized transformer station of DNP - Bac Giang Water Infrastructure Investment Company Limited in Kep commune had no power due to flooding and could not be turned back on.
In the area managed by the Tan Yen Regional Power Management Team, more than 11,000 customers were affected by storm Matmo. With a spirit of urgency and responsibility, regardless of day or night, for the sake of uninterrupted power supply, officers and workers of the Tan Yen Regional Power Management Team went to each village to check the affected transformer stations and power lines to immediately fix the problem. By the morning of October 11, only more than 1,800 customers in the communes of Phuc Hoa, Ngoc Thien and Tan Yen had lost power because the water level was still rising.
Mr. Bach Hong Quan, Deputy Director of Bac Ninh Electricity Company informed that the unit is still mobilizing all human resources of member power companies to manage the areas that are still flooded, readying replacement materials and repairing the power grid. At the same time, strengthening the power grid inspection, troubleshooting, and turning on the power as soon as the water recedes. Timely supplying electricity for people to clean up their houses and stabilize their lives; ensuring that production and business units in flooded areas have electricity immediately after the water recedes.
