Dong Nai Hydropower Company completes electricity output in 2024

At 4:34 p.m. on December 7, 2024, Dong Nai Hydropower Company produced 1,377 million kWh, completing the electricity output target early (23 days ahead of schedule) compared to the 2024 plan assigned by Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1).

In 2024, Dong Nai Hydropower Company proactively monitored the hydrological situation and rainfall in the reservoir basin to calculate, closely coordinate and regularly inform the Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Committee of Dak Nong and Lam Dong provinces; together with related units, to propose optimal power generation operation plans for generators, while regulating the reservoir, ensuring safety for the downstream area in the most effective rainy season.

Dong Nai Hydropower Company completes electricity production target in 2024

The Company has closely coordinated with the National Electricity System and Market Operation Company Limited (NSMO) and coordinated well with the locality to use water resources effectively to ensure irrigation and domestic water according to the needs of the downstream, meeting the Inter-reservoir Process in the Dong Nai River Basin. With the efforts of the Board of Directors and the staff, Dong Nai Hydropower Company officially reached the milestone of 1,377 million kWh at 4:34 p.m. on December 7, 2024, completing the electricity output target assigned by Power Generation Corporation 1.

To complete the assigned electricity output plan for 2024, from the beginning of the year, the Company has developed a plan and monthly and full-year 2024 operation plan; focused on improving the availability and readiness of generators of Dong Nai 3 & Dong Nai 4 Hydropower Plants; strictly controlled economic and technical indicators; effectively implemented operation, repair, maintenance and promoted emulation in production labor, enhanced digitalization of technological equipment, ensuring generators, equipment systems, and safe and reliable operation of works.

In addition, other economic and technical indicators such as: Self-consumption electricity rate; availability coefficient; breakdown shutdown rate; maintenance and repair shutdown rate of the company up to now have all reached and exceeded the plan, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of the two provinces of Lam Dong and Dak Nong and supplying electricity to the national grid system.

It is expected that by December 31, the Company will continue to produce about 40 million kWh of electricity and reach a total electricity output of about 1,417 billion kWh in the year (103% of the 2024 plan). The Company continues to orient its production and business tasks to ensure "Safe, flexible and effective adaptation" and implement solutions to increase cost reduction and improve the efficiency of production and business activities... In parallel with completing the electricity output target, in 2024, the Company has carried out social security activities well to enhance the role and responsibility of Dong Nai Hydropower Company in particular and Power Generation Corporation 1 in general towards the community.
