Viettel Logistics Park is ready for phase 2 in Lang Son and expansion to other localities.
Just over 10 days after its opening, the Logistics Park has achieved impressive results. 90% of the service office space, 70% of the agricultural center space and 40% of the warehouse space have been registered for long-term lease by businesses.
On December 11, 2024, Viettel Logistics Park was officially opened at Dong Dang border gate economic zone (Lang Son). Covering an area of 143.7 hectares, this is a logistics center with the most modern and synchronous infrastructure in Vietnam, providing a complete import-export logistics service chain from customs clearance, quarantine, inspection, loading, warehousing to cross-border transportation.
With advanced technology and an optimally designed process system, directly connected to the customs data system of Vietnam, China and other authorities, Viettel Logistics Park is expected to help reduce customs clearance time from 4-5 days to less than 24 hours, reduce customs clearance costs by 30-40% and increase the efficiency of refrigerated container trucks transporting fruit from 2.5 trips/month to 4-5 trips/month.

These are extremely important numbers for agricultural and aquatic products when solving the problem of congestion at border gates, helping to reduce the rate of damaged goods, reduce costs for businesses and ensure income for farmers.
Although it has only been open for more than 10 days, the Logistics Park has achieved impressive results. 90% of the service office space, 70% of the agricultural center space and 40% of the warehouse space have been registered for long-term lease by businesses.
“The strong interest from businesses, even before the project officially came into operation, has confirmed that this is a breakthrough solution in the Vietnamese logistics industry. This not only reflects the trust in the quality of infrastructure and services provided by Viettel, but also shows the urgent need for a modern, synchronous logistics center that meets international standards in the border area” – Viettel Post representative shared.
To achieve this, the park applies the most advanced logistics technologies such as Smart gate, 6-way automatic screening system, automatic loading system, E-commerce and express delivery processing area using autonomous AGV robot system...

In addition, Viettel Logistics Park also has an exhibition area and commercial livestreams to promote e-commerce, helping businesses connect directly with the global market.
In particular, the agricultural product trading center is equipped with a modern post-harvest preservation system, helping to maintain the quality of agricultural products during the customs clearance period.
According to Mr. Hoang Trung Thanh - General Director of Viettel Post, the Corporation has focused resources and "speedily" built the Park with the expectation of promoting border economic development in Lang Son - a locality that accounts for 50% of the volume of goods traded between Thailand and Cambodia with China when passing through Vietnam.

Following the direction of the Prime Minister, phase 2 of the project will include additional special functions.
Firstly, Viettel Post will work with Chinese customs authorities to implement a one-time inspection, quarantine, and irradiation solution for customs clearance. This is especially meaningful for agricultural products, as they do not have to wait for inspection when entering China.
Second, deploy a centralized data center to connect customs data of the two countries. This system will serve the smart border gate expected to be operational in early 2026.
Third, deploy an 8-hectare railway station to connect Dong Dang - Bang Tuong intermodal transport, with 20 trips per day, helping to relieve pressure when roads are overloaded.
Finally, deploying other infrastructures such as factory areas, export processing zones, etc. will help complete the park's functions.
With investment from Viettel Post, Lang Son will have all the conditions to become a logistics center, attracting domestic and foreign businesses to come and cooperate in trade.
After the opening ceremony, witnessing the scale of Viettel Logistics Park, the authorities of provinces such as Lao Cai, Quang Ninh, Hung Yen, Binh Duong... all highly appreciated the project, considering it a model for other provinces to learn from and hoping that Viettel would implement similar projects in their localities.
With the success of the Lang Son Logistics Park project, Viettel will continue to coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to expand logistics infrastructure nationwide, including smart border gates in Lao Cai and Quang Ninh; logistics centers in Dong Nai and Da Nang; agricultural product trading and distribution centers in Hung Yen and Ho Chi Minh City and agricultural product preservation centers in the Central Highlands and the Mekong Delta.
These projects not only help goods circulate quickly, increase the value of Vietnamese goods, but also contribute to raising Vietnam's position on the regional and world logistics map.
