According to Document No. 405/TGCP-PG dated May 20, 2025 of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs - Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions on the request of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to add a location to enshrine Buddha's relics - National Treasure of India from May 22, 2025 to June 2, 2025; Document No. 1486/UBND-NC dated May 20, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee sent to the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions on the agreement to add a location to enshrine Buddha's relics - National Treasure of India at Chuong Pagoda, Hien Nam Ward, Hung Yen City, Hung Yen Province from May 28, 2025 to May 29, 2025, Chuong Pagoda was chosen as the location to enshrine Buddha's relics on May 28 and 29.
Chuong Pagoda located in Hien Nam ward, Hung Yen city is a unique architectural and artistic relic, belonging to Pho Hien National Special Relic Site. Chuong Pagoda was chosen as the place to enshrine the Buddha's relics. This is a religious event of great significance, contributing to the integration of Vietnamese Buddhism with international Buddhism, while affirming the consistent policy of our Party and State in respecting and ensuring freedom of belief and religion.
In order for the procession and enshrinement of Buddha's relics to be solemn and purely religious, the Provincial People's Committee requests the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and relevant departments, branches, units and localities to urgently implement the necessary contents.
