On the afternoon of June 11, a representative of Traffic Police Team No. 1 (Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police) said that officers and soldiers of the unit had just helped a lost old woman find her relatives.
Specifically, at 12:15 p.m. the same day, while on duty at the southern checkpoint of Chuong Duong Bridge (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi), the working group of the Team discovered an old woman about 75 years old wandering on the bridge, so they promptly stopped the traffic and brought the old woman to the checkpoint.
During the visit, the old woman could not remember her name, age, or home address. Realizing that she was tired and in poor health, the soldiers took her to the unit headquarters to rest and have a light meal.
Officers and soldiers of the Team contacted the police of neighboring wards to notify them to find relatives for the old woman.
In the afternoon of the same day, Mr. NBT (born in 1973, residing in Hoan Kiem, Hanoi) went to the headquarters of Traffic Police Team No. 1 to pick up his mother.
According to Mr. T., his mother, Mrs. T. (born in 1947), has a poor memory. Due to her old age and poor health, the family still assigns someone to look after her and asks neighbors to help keep an eye on her when she leaves the house. This is the first time Mrs. T. has gotten lost. Fortunately, the traffic police helped, otherwise the family does not know what the consequences would have been.
