The report on the results of monitoring the settlement of voters' petitions sent to the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly presented at the parliament showed many positive changes in the work of receiving and handling people's opinions - one of the important channels of reflection to help perfect policies.
According to the report of the National Assembly Standing Committee, in recent times, the Government, ministries, branches and localities have made great efforts in receiving, resolving and responding to voters' petitions. Most of the petitions have been resolved or are being considered according to their authority, contributing to solving many difficulties and problems in people's lives, especially in the fields of social security, health, education , environment and transport infrastructure.

The publication of the results of petition settlement on the National Assembly's electronic information portal is also considered an important step forward, helping people more conveniently monitor and supervise the activities of state agencies. However, the report also pointed out that there are still a number of petitions that are answered in general terms, lacking specific solutions or a clear implementation roadmap, especially in the areas of land, compensation, site clearance and environmental protection.
Mr. Y Car Enuol, a voter from Ea Kao ward (Dak Lak province), said: The National Assembly's report was carefully prepared, accurately reflecting the reality of people's lives. Many pressing social issues such as health insurance policies, support for meritorious people and the poor have been resolved more clearly and specifically than before.
According to Mr. Y Car Enuol, what people want most is to be heard and see their opinions taken into account and reflected in the reports of the National Assembly. This report clearly demonstrates that spirit.
From another perspective, Mr. Nguyen Tien Truong, a voter from Cuor Dang commune (Dak Lak province) acknowledged the efforts of the authorities but also frankly commented: Some responses to petitions are still general, without specific commitments on implementation deadlines. The National Assembly needs to strengthen supervision to the end, especially on issues that people have petitioned many times such as environmental pollution and urban planning.
Vo Ngoc Hien Minh, a voter from Tuy Hoa ward (Dak Lak province), highly appreciated the efforts to innovate in monitoring work but said that it is necessary to continue to strongly apply information technology.
"I think that in the near future, if the National Assembly can research and build an online monitoring system so that people can know more clearly at what level their petitions are being considered and the progress of the processing, transparency will be higher and accountability will be clearer," Ms. Minh commented.
From the reflected reality, voters across the country highly appreciate the supervisory role of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee in ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
Voters hope that in the coming time, the National Assembly will continue to improve the quality of supervision, strengthen the responsibility of leaders, and at the same time have a mechanism to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the results of handling petitions in a substantive, non-formal manner.
Voters believe that, with the spirit of innovation, responsibility and action for the people, the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly will continue to be a forum to express the will, aspirations and voices of voters nationwide, contributing to promoting sustainable, transparent and people-friendly development of the state apparatus.
