Group 11 of the City People's Council met with voters in Long Quang commune.

On the afternoon of November 26, Delegation Group No. 11, Hue City People's Council, term VIII, 2021-2026, chaired by Ms. Le Thi Thu Huong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Khe Tre Commune Party Committee, had a meeting with voters in Long Quang Commune before the 11th session of the City People's Council.

At the meeting with voters, Ms. Le Thi Thu Huong informed voters about the city's outstanding socio -economic situation in the first 10 months of the year and the plan to implement socio-economic tasks in the last 2 months of 2025; informed about the results of the City People's Council's activities; and answered the opinions of Long Quang commune voters at the previous meeting.

Voters have raised 18 opinions, recommendations, and proposals to the 11th delegation of the City People's Council. Among them, many issues are related to policies, environmental sanitation, resource management, etc. Voter Dang Ngoc Tranh suggested that there should be a communal or regional cemetery so that people can bury their dead in a centralized manner. Mr. Tranh also said that motorbike insurance is not suitable for reality now and should be abolished.

Ka Dong village chief - Mr. Ho Van Doan expressed his opinion that it is necessary to upgrade the inter-village road to avoid flooding and isolation, causing difficulties in people's travel, especially for students going to school during the rainy season. This is also the opinion of some voters in the old communes of Thuong Long and Thuong Quang; at the same time, they said that, in the face of increasingly complicated natural disasters, the commune government should survey and review to have sustainable works to serve the people...

Voter Tran Van Moi proposed that there should be policies for frontline workers. Some voters also suggested policies and burial fees for the elderly.

At the meeting, Chairman of Long Quang Commune People's Committee Nguyen Anh discussed and answered voters' concerns. Regarding cemetery planning, after merging 3 communes (Thuong Long, Thuong Quang, Huong Huu) into a new commune, the commune leaders are choosing a location to build a cemetery to serve the needs of the people as soon as possible. Mr. Nguyen Anh also said that after the recent heavy rains, the commune is reviewing and making statistics to initially fix the damage to underground spillways, bridges, roads, drainage, bridge abutments, irrigation works, etc. and requested the City People's Committee to support funding for long-term repairs and upgrades of the works.

At the end of the meeting, Ms. Le Thi Thu Huong answered some more questions of concern to voters. At the same time, she accepted major recommendations and proposals to submit to the competent authorities for consideration, support and resolution.

Voters speak at the meeting

On the afternoon of November 26, Delegation Group No. 10 of the 8th Hue City People's Council , term 2021-2026, had a meeting with voters in Duong No ward before the 11th session of the City People's Council.

At the meeting, voters made many recommendations regarding infrastructure, roads, embankment construction, lighting, land encroachment, school expansion, etc. Mr. Ky Huu Phuoc suggested that it is necessary to soon implement the project of building river embankments through Lai An residential group to make it easier for people to travel, as well as repair village roads that have been eroded due to floods and rains, and concretize alleys in the area.

Mr. Nguyen Van Lanh said that currently, about 80 households living along National Highway 49 in My An Residential Group have not been granted red books, so they are not granted permits to build or renovate houses. To solve this situation, it is recommended that authorities at all levels have policies and solutions to help people living along National Highway 49 settle down soon. In addition, local authorities also need to properly manage the currently abandoned plots of land to avoid encroachment and re-encroachment.

Regarding economic development, Mr. Tran Huu Kha reflected on the products of banh chung and banh tet - local specialties previously registered by Phu Duong Agricultural Cooperative with the OCOP trademark. However, it is currently not effective, there needs to be solutions for development, joint ventures, and associations to create jobs for the people.

Regarding education, Mr. Tran Thanh Dung, Principal of Phan Dang Luu High School, requested the City People's Committee to continue to pay attention to receiving Campus 3 of Hue Industrial College (which has been vacant for about 15 years now) to expand Phan Dang Luu High School, serving teaching and learning more conveniently. The school said that the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province has issued Official Dispatch No. 5387/UBND-DN dated May 28, 2024 to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding the arrangement of public assets in the area, including Campus 3 of Hue Industrial College, with the purpose of handing over and expanding the school. Most recently, on October 2, 2025, the People's Committee of Hue City issued Official Dispatch No. 14004/UBND-DN to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding the request to receive the real estate of Campus 3 - Hue Industrial College, but it is not known if the Ministries have responded yet...

After listening to voters' opinions, representatives of the City People's Council coordinated with the Duong No ward government to explain voters' recommendations. At the same time, opinions will be compiled and fully reported at the upcoming City People's Council meeting.
