Voters recommend policies to support farmers and women in economic development

On the afternoon of December 18, the National Assembly Delegation of Ha Tinh province held a thematic meeting with voters and members of the Provincial Women's Union and the Provincial Farmers' Association to collect opinions on the draft Law on Credit Institutions (amended).

Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Tran Dinh Gia, President of the Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Le Ha, and President of the Provincial Farmers' Association Ngo Van Huynh chaired the meeting.

After listening to the representative of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation summarize the results of the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly , the activities of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and the draft Law on Credit Institutions (amended), the delegates attending the conference gave specific comments on the content of the draft law.

Representatives of the Women's Union of Duc Tho district proposed contents related to policies on agricultural and rural development.

At the same time, recommend and propose to the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies a number of contents such as: promptly promulgate specific criteria for low-income subjects; expand the subjects of loans from funds and credit programs so that more women members can access capital; increase the loan level for microfinance programs; have appropriate mechanisms and policies on agricultural and rural development to create conditions for women and farmers to develop production; promote propaganda programs and popularize laws in rural areas, especially on gender equality.

Representatives of the Ky Anh Farmers' Association proposed expanding and increasing the loan level for the farmer support fund.

Increase resources for the farmer support fund and have solutions to improve the quality of the fund's operations; expand the subjects and areas of loans and reduce loan interest rates of the farmer support fund; create conditions for women and farmers to access science and technology to develop production and promote trade; have laws related to farmers; care for and support women in difficult areas to access health care...

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Tran Dinh Gia received comments on the draft Law on Credit Institutions (amended) as well as recommendations and proposals from members of the Provincial Women's Union and the Provincial Farmers' Association. The voters' recommendations will be compiled and studied by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to promptly reflect on the National Assembly forums and send to relevant ministries and branches for consideration.

The Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation affirmed that the Law on Credit Institutions has a great impact on the economy and social life, so in addition to the opinions of the members of the Provincial Women's Union and the Provincial Farmers' Association, he suggested that credit institutions should study and give specific comments to the delegation for discussion at the upcoming National Assembly session.
